  • Louisiana is getting another city after a six-year effort by organizers.
On Friday, the state Supreme Court granted the formation of the predominantly White City of St. George, which will be separate from Baton Rouge.
The ruling is sparking concerns about segregation.
Advocate Gary Chambers, who explained how this all happened in a recent social media post spoke with Roland Martin about the outrageous move to create a white enclave.

I laughed my ass off at Roland Martin accusing people in St. George of racism and segregation while wearing a shirt for an all black fraternity

Most of the people crying were all for segregation at colleges
. Black only dorms, black only graduations, black safe spaces. Now they have their own city, so what’s the problem? đŸ€”

Roland is trying to make this a race issue. The city of Baton Rouge has been trash for years. Central was also part of Baton Rouge that seceded from city in 2005. Baton Rouge police won't respond to any calls in St Georgia, so why keep paying city taxes when you're not getting city services? BTW..... Us black folks live out here too and we're tired of paying for services that we are not getting!

Alluding that they are racist but fighting to keep them apart of your city is insane.

Im confused as to why this is a big deal? They were a minority of the population, therefore Baton Rouge will be overwhelmingly black now. Its an opportunity to get the city right now that those that dont want to be there leave.😏😆

People of the city who were paying the most taxes to the city asked for their own school district and the city said no. They then therefore broke off from the city to form their own city so they could have their own school. Sounds like the right thing to do to me.

Wait over the last 5-6 years haven’t I heard how black America wants to segregate? The same group that wants black only graduations? Oh let me guess that’s should be allowed but keep your tax dollars going to our benefit?

I think people have the right to live with whoever they want. Would we have a problem with Black people wanting to create their own city? No, we wouldn't! Why would a person be forced to live with people, they deem to be a detriment to their way of living? Lastly, if people can't be bothered to even do something simple as vote, then they have to except the consequences!

1995 Port Arthur Texas. I was BEAT ON for being the minority white kid in the school district. Singled out, my sh*t tore up, bike stolen constantly. The school was a nightmare.
