I think not everyone is made to respect their country at full and be patriotic about it. For me serving 4 years in the armed forces, doing my part.. it felt all the time like a piece of me I was giving back to the country I was born and love. So if you feel you have something inside you that asks for it, hope you get the best experience while into the corps. ♥ Good luck o7

USE HOUSEHOLD VINEGAR AND POUR ONTO THE LEECH,IT WILL FALL OFF EASILY,OTHERWISE IF YOU PULL THE LEECH,ITS FANGS WILL LEAVE PERMANENT SCARS ONTO YOUR SKIN! POUR SULPHUR AROUND THE PERIMETER OF YOUR SLEEPING AREA,AS SNAKES HATE SULPHUR SMELL! I've never gotten over my bitterness in having to do 2.5 years of compulsory NS even though it was a long time ago as i hate army life and its fake regimentation and also feel it took my prime youth away. But seeing you even volunteer for it (albeit shorter period) makes me feel guilty...after so many years, I suddenly feel more balanced (平衡) on having to do NS (i still hate it though).
I think most people hated it when they're young including me too, but as you grow up and gain more life experience, wisdom, understanding of geopolitics and maybe even have a family, you start to understand why NS is crucial for us. In a nutshell, it protects our way of life, enables the country to realise its economic potential without being derailed by regional geopolitics and allows the people to maximise its opportunities. A strong military deterrence cannot be overstated.
@@TheKrazyKoala hahaha...those who did the ridiculously long 2.5 years instead of the current 2 years NS won't say, coz it's aeons ago, and everyone will then know how very old we were.
You must be crazy to join SAFVC!!! That response must surely be the first thing you hear when your family and friends got to know what you did!! 😂😂 While the training may not be difficult and torturing as what 18 year olds guys go through, I wouldn't say the training is easy for an older and seemingly delicate person like you. I am sure there are days where you want to throw in the towel and give up. BUT you pulled through!!!! Congratulations!!!

I've never gotten over my bitterness in having to do 2.5 years of compulsory NS even though it was a long time ago as i hate army life and its fake regimentation and also feel it took my prime youth away. But seeing you even volunteer for it (albeit shorter period) makes me feel guilty...after so many years, I suddenly feel more balanced (平衡) on having to do NS (i still hate it though).
I think most people hated it when they're young including me too, but as you grow up and gain more life experience, wisdom, understanding of geopolitics and maybe even have a family, you start to understand why NS is crucial for us. In a nutshell, it protects our way of life, enables the country to realise its economic potential without being derailed by regional geopolitics and allows the people to maximise its opportunities. A strong military deterrence cannot be overstated.

While the training may not be difficult and torturing as what 18 year olds guys go through, I wouldn't say the training is easy for an older and seemingly delicate person like you. I am sure there are days where you want to throw in the towel and give up.
