We should be proud of our ethnicity and our mother tongue. It’s obvious you speak English with a non-native accent where English isn’t your mother tongue (which is really perfectly fine), I just hope you will eventually find the courage to be proud of where you originally came from, proud of the mother tongue given to you by your parents, and find the courage to reveal you’re from China/HK 💪🏻
Hi. I’m super proud of where I’m from. But I don’t need to show my pride in front of public. My pride is shown to myself and that’s enough.
Personal privacy should be respected. US people don’t talk about ethnicity in public. I hope people in Asia also respect our culture. I hv no relations to HK. I hv relationships to Cn but I’m not from CN. Why do you have to judge people like that?
I know myself better than you. I’m partially southeast Asian also. Hope people learn to respect others culture and privacy, not judging.
I want to give love and support to you, but the fact that you are emphasising the American passport so much despite probably growing up a big part of your life and sounding from the PRC. But never acknowledging that even if your values are not in line with the PRC. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with not identifying with where you or your parents grew up in, but being the authentic you and telling us where you were growing up a huge part of your life even if it isn't what you identify with now would garner more love especially since you will be getting some money from CZcams hits and ads. People normally do not have a problem nor should they care where you are from, but for god'a sake, in so many videos and comments (sorry I may have missed or fast forwarded if any vital info was shared) but you evade questions of where you really originally are from and it matters because you are making lifestyle and seemingly videos to share to the world who you are and yet you mask your roots and do not seem proud of your roots with videos emphasising yourself to be American. But you sound like one of my many classmates whose rich parents send you to Ivy league schools and the requirement was of servicing the community in one of those poverty stricken countries, and then you turn out as well as how one in Ivy league is expected with the high pay and unhappiness that comes with it and left if with alot of savings. Eventually family including yourself became American. And then you end up living in Singapore and loving it because Singapore is a good middle ground between the east and the west.

“Ethnicity is a very private and personal thing” wait what? I have never heard anyone say that ever. If you don’t mind me asking why wouldn’t you want to share what your ethnicity and what your mother tongue/first language is?

@@niceguy9790 If that's the case then it is just too bad. You should never feel the need to hide your ethnicity. It's something everyone should be proud of. She is obviously not someone who is born or even raised in America, yet she is so proud to be an American citizen. By this token, she should be equally if not more proud of her ethnicity, to deny and hide that is to deny and be ashamed of your own blood, family and your history. Thats just too sad.

@@noorirwan686 Summer temperatures are 16-25 degrees celsius in Scotland, where I'm from. Winter is minus 10 to plus 10. If the sun is shining and it hits 20 degrees, men will take their shirts off. In Singapore if it goes below 24, I've seen people wear jackets! I guess it's what you're used to....

What I really like about this channel - apart from the content, of course 😉 - is the length of the videos. Not too long and not too short - but exactly right. I´ve probably been to Singapore 3 or 4 times in my life by now, however that was at least 15 years ago, when I worked in the airline industry. I would so much love to come back, but as of now I feel it is difficult with Covid and everything. About Singapore: From the second you arrive in the airport in Singapore, you just feel that Singapore is a place where you´re being taken care of, it feels safe in ANY place to go out even late at night, and everything (private as well as public sector) seems to be run super efficient and controlled. I´ve never been to Sentosa Island, but that is on my bucket list too 😀

I don't go on holiday tour cause I don't like to rush. The place I travel, I prefer to be there for longer period, hoping in months. When in China doing community development work, I need to travel up in the villages in the mountain and normally I will live up there for 1 to 2 weeks each month during their low peak season...so that kind of monthly traveling is enough for me. When I was young as an Automation design engineer, I will fly to Langkawi (Malaysia) and rent a car to drive around and sleep inside....that is for me to relax my mind alone with nature....now I prefer to be at home sleeping.....ha ha ha

You're self confidence is very appealing. Obviously your success as an executive was both a result of the self confidence, also self knowledge and independence, as as well as probably giving you a lot of confidence for that success.
I also notice you put a lot if effort in dressing nicely even though you are at home, which I think is affective at giving a pleasing self presentation.
I also lived in SF for 5 years, also Oakland and San Jose, but now am in Santa Barbara. Singapore sounds really nice. Anyway, thanks again for the nice video, I shared on with a friend on your career change, as she also was extremely successful but now is reinventing her life.

Minimalism is just a philosophy, but you can live the way you want. Minimalism is simple living if you think about it because the point is that things/objects are not ruling your life, so you can make space for what truly matters.
You don't have to follow other minimalists like those who are extreme and only own a few things.

@@TheKrazyKoala Yeah im a INFP and a cancer as well. Was watching your" why i have no friends" video. Totally resonates with me. Many people don't understand being alone is not lonely at all. I would any time choose to do things alone and i enjoy the peacefulness of night just maybe because i think Singapore is just too busy and noisy in the day. Its also not necessary to be in a relationship and its so hard for people to understand that. I do not have many friends too just because many of them would just consider them as acquittance. I think sometimes people call people "friend" too casually. Well, but its so good to see a fellow introvert on youtube sharing all these. Look forward to more of your videos
