I like Nel, not only from her strenght and looks obviously, i also like the concept that not all Hollows and Arrancars are sworn Shinigami's enemies. They have their principles, their motivations, goals and ambitions and she's just so fuckin pure, the best from Espada. Too bad her rank places more like 4,5 than 3 on the current Espada rank.

Nels Number 3 is still a relevant number, the "former" Espada you meant have 3 digit numbers, so hers is comparable to the power to the others, but due to her cracked head she cant stay in her Grown form for long now. Thats why she is "weaker". She isnt really weaker, but she cant hold the grown form for long.

The only difference is that Granz got stronger along with Nnoitora she is still worthy of 3 because nel later on in the novel and tybw is comparable to hallibel who is still 3 , the only problem here is that Nel's form isn't stable her spiritual pressure is shaky and constantly leaking if she could keep the form she would be strong

You could say she lose the espada rang similar to Grimmjow, because both lost the past strenght and Nel goes missing.

Ichigo fought the previous number 3 already, it was Dordoni with the number 103. Nel's number is still legit but due to the cracked mask her power is unstable unlike the number 3 that is the current Espada.
The current Espada are the most powerful of all the generations of the group. Nel is from an older generation, so her number 3 isn't comparable to the current number 3

Nnoitra explained it, but apparently you missed it, so Cero Doble is where Nel absorbs an enemy's Cero and then integrates it into one of her own that she then fires at the enemy. She doesn't double the power of the enemy's Cero, she adds the power of the enemy's Cero to her own.

No she is not because when she was in the espada aizen didn't have the hogyoku that's why she didn't got the power boost from it all current espada's are boosted by hogyoku so she can match up to Nnoitra in his normal form but not in his released form
I believe the power boost is applied during the reverse hollowfication (turning to Shinigami), Aizen gave them option of power boost in exchange of their regenerative ability. And with their personalities, you can guess who accepted the deal with Aizen and who refused. It is kinda spoiler but this is good to know for power scaling.
In Nnoitora's case, he definitely took the power boost while Nel might not which is supported by her two unique abilities among all of the arrancars (including espadas), possessed only by her. The "Cero Doble" which allows her to absorb other's Cero and then release it with her own Cero. And her mucus/saliva with regenerative abilities which for most arrancars who traded self-regeneration for power boost, she can even heal others even though it is weak heal.
This Nel might be still stronger than Nnoitora, or I will bet that she is the strongest arrancar after the Vasto Lordes and Wonderweiss which is something given that she was nerfed for years.
@@michaelloyola4082 The reason why many believe Nnotora is on this point strong is, because Nnoitora didn't even release his form and could hold out again a released Nel.

18:00 Thig is that no, that is not completly right that the current 3 is stronger than Nelliel, if nelliel was properly healed they are about equal. Nelliel was never replaced while she was in the Espada, she went missing and Aizen found a replacement after that. In later novels when Nelliel is more stable, she ends up being about equal in power to the one that is currently espada 3. So yeah, her rank as 3 is pretty accurate.
She is a former Espada for a different reason... Because if Nnoitra never "defeated" her and gave her that scar, she would still be at number 3 or atleast still in the top 10.

Nel's current Ranking would be Espada 103 as a Priverron Espada or Fallen Espada. The first Arrancar that Ichigo faced off with Nel who was also a Former Rank 3 Espada. Nel's adult form was her Original form until her mask took damage causing to her change into her child form.
