In the manga, when Aizen says “There are openings everywhere,” the very next panel is that shot of Aizen with 4 captains falling from the sky. So technically he bodied all of them even faster than the anime showed. It only took him an instant.
I wouldn't say faster than the anime show, since the anime is in hyper slow mo to the point that these massively FTL characters are moving like snails, and aizen did cut down the other 3 captains before toshiro's detached arm can leave his body in the anime

I'm starting to think Aizen has some personal grudge against Hitsugaya. The man uses every opportunity he has to emotionally destroy and humiliate Toshiro. Like it's too cruel even by Aizen standards.
Maybe Hitsugaya stole Aizen's lunch during one of those captain meetings, and this is payback.

Keep in mind Ichigo could’ve been yelling at the Captains the whole time, as well as Hinanori, but then they only heard him and “snapped out of it” once Aizen allowed them to, which is horrifying to think about. But then again if you really think about it Aizen could make all the characters hear the Bleach OSTs as they fight, which is sick lmao.

This episode is a perfect example of showing Kubo’s style of writing. He doesn’t like to make things too obvious and leaves a lot up to the reader/viewer’s interpretation (which leads to people not fully understanding enough of the story and calling out Kubo as a bad writer). Here, we don’t know when he switched out with Momo or if there were any points where he realistically could, but since we don’t know when he was and wasn’t using his hypnosis, it could have been at any point, so we can try to figure out what point he might have done it.
Aizen mentions it at the end when speaking with shinji on when did he believe he wasn’t using his swords power. Meaning he has always been using it. His sword is a never ending ability that stops only when Aizen says “release”. Kubo has said that he needed to simplify the story in a way for viewers to keep up. Im paraphrasing here but I’m just putting it more bluntly
I think logically It was after Ichigo's attack (bc Ichigo never seen Kyokasuigetsu's release, if that's true), and before Soifon did the shadow clones thing or whatever it called. But how he switched I have no clue, It was part of Aizen's plan after all.
I've always just thought that his Kyoka Suigetsu's powers can be used outside of release.. that, or as Renji has shown, he can go straight into Shikai without saying anything after obtaining a Bankai. But then, even Soi Fon's Homonka was stated to remain indefinitely unless Soi Fon wills its removal.. but does she have to keep her Shikai released throughout? does it disappear if Soi Fon reverts her Shikai? or does it remain even after reverting her Shikai?
I see the two as having seemingly similar rules. There is a.. kind of, sort of, "ritual" (that I guess is basically just "look at my sword release") that inflicts the hypnosis, which is the equivalent of Suzumebachi's inflicting the Homonka on a body part by hitting said body part. But Kyoka Suigetsu's effect is instant once you witness the release, while Suzumebachi requires the second sting to actually inflict its main effect--death. My assumption has always been that once you're under Kyoka Suigetsu's effect.. that's it, "the Homonka is on you", Aizen is able to mess with you whenever. Once Aizen "shatters" the illusion, you're already defeated.. once Suzumebachi gets in a second hit on the exact same spot of a Homonka, you're dead. That's just how I've always considered it anyways.
so because Ichigo can see Aizen where he is(tho Aizen at this point might not be trackable because of his speed) imma say the best moment before is when Ichigo asked what they were doing. I think that is right when Shinji activated his "confuse" ability.
We've seen Aizen manipulate very good within that already and if he can "dodge" eyesight because of his unlimited power it would also explain why Hinamori was asking "why" questions.|
If she got up just prior and Aizen can choose people to put under his shikai, she might have been awake before Izuru and Iba realized(so she is even more confused)
Because they literally have ICHIGO to tell them they fucked up the only reason is cause Ichigo is too weak to perceive Aizen.
The only problem with that is that technically there are a few WAY more powerful shinigami to do that for Ichigo.
Also the only explanation to people "dying" to Aizen's sword is that he really entered the battlefield with shikai power active or never stopped it for YEARS.
So then even Yamamoto couldn't notice somthing's amiss meanwhile Aizen is lurking in REALITY killing on time with the ilusion.
tho what illusion does he have for each person is a different question... AIZEN IS THE INFINITE TSUKUYOMI!

Aizen ability is to control your 5 senses, he probably used their hearing senses so that they can't hear Ichigo screaming, also aizen probably manipulated their time perception so that the event might seems long but to Ichigo who wasn't affected probably was fast enough to not even react

Easily the best villain I’ve ever seen without a backstory. Because you know most people nowadays go off of how sad/bad the villains backstory was, which there’s nothing wrong about of obviously. Soi-Fon's Shikai didn't work on Aizen for the same reason Ichigo's first swing couldn’t cut Zaraki. There was just too great a distence in Spiritual Pressure.

9:10 Neel finally understands what's a battle between two shinigami is all about. And it's correct! A fight between 2 entities that use spiritual energy is always a fight of spiritual pressure. If you're opponent spiritual pressure is higher that yours and he has absolut control over it's density then it doesn't really matter which abilities you might possess.
It's very similar in Dragon Ball
You can harm stronger opponents with special techniques but if there are TOO STRONG(they have bigger/stronger Chi) then it's pointless even if you use magic

The Ubermensch is the definition of a super human. For Nietzsche, the principle of a God was outdated. He described people as a herd that blindly follow the moral rules of society and religions. For Nietzsche, the system of a god was not only outdated but also meaningless because when man gets over this mourning phase after rejecting the supposed god he will reach a new level. Be brave to question things and be brave to face the unknown.
Aizen is that super human. For aizen, the principle of this soul king, a kind of god, was meaningless.. That's why he kills because he has already questioned the morality of killing people. He doesn't follow society's moral codes, which is why he broke very strict rules in soul society. That's why he killed the people who were in charge.. Because they are these moral laws and regulations.
However, urahara is exactly the opposite of aizen. Which is why the two are so often compared. Urahara is the principle of the Letzte mensch.. What last man means. This is the man who sees this false world like the ubermensch but does nothing about these fixed prescribed things. He accepts it and doesn't want to go to this superman because he doesn't have the courage to leave the unknown.
Look at the last conversation between aizen and urahara. That is exactly this principle. Aizen says that's a loser's thinking. During Aizen's last fight, he is seen breaking from his superhuman form back into his normal human form. Which completely throws him off character. Aizen is no longer this superman from this point on, as he is ruled by emotions and hates Urahara.
All this makes even more sense when you consider that Japan Mangas are so often inspired by Germany. All the AoT generals and soldiers are based on Germans and even have a German name: Jäger means hunter and Ackerman means Field human? German language is complex.. The idea of the titans are even from Norse mythology which is literally Germanic Mythology because the Germanic people were the ancestors of the Vikings so they just used their mythology and Languages..

My interpretation of when Aizen was using his hypnosis powers and why Ichigo didn't intervene:
1. In situations like this, we KNOW Ichigo would have instantly intervened had he gotten the chance. It goes against his character not to.
2. Hinamori could not have fended off all the captains by herself without some help.
Therefore I'd say that Aizen had been himself involved in the actual fight until the last moment. Perhaps when Hinamori got stabbed by Hitsugaya or Shunsui. In that moment, it would have been too late for Ichigo to react.
Aizen insinuating that he had been using his shikai from the start was just to mock them. Because he's so incredibly strong as well, why wouldn't he play with them for a little while before resuming the hynosis? He literally controls whether they are under a genjutsu or not. It's on-brand with his sadism.
So I don't think this is bad writing by Kubo nor do I believe Hinamori engaged captain-class shinigami's by herself for a full minute.
But this is just one possibility out of countless others. Anything could have happened there if we account for how OP Aizen is. This is just the most logical scenario to me.
KS ability is to completely control all 5 senses to the point where an opponent may misinterpret a persons shape, form, size, smell, mass and feel to be that of an enemy....
for how that "hinamori" could defend those attacks, because maybe "mass" and "feel" playing big factor here

I feel like it was right before toshiros attack. He had to be there to neg soi fon’s nigeki kessatsu and kyoraku’s sneak attack should’ve taken a weakened momo out by itself, so I think he tanked those two attacks and then switched once toshiro came into the fray
