This week on Let Dirt Fly, we convert Marshall's Girlfriends 2013 Can-Am Outlander 500 into an XMR using a XMR rad relocate! We also go over the bleeding process on how to properly bleed these radiators after being installed.

Great to meet you today in line to see Derek.
SETH, thank you. I may be doing this very mod on a xt 850. Now I got help. Thanks for the video. As always "Ride Hard and Be Safe" MN BILL
Where did you get the parts for this?
I am curious to know what was holding the long bolt in place when taking the rack off? I took mine off to clean out the radiator and forgot how I took it apart and now I can’t get it back together lol thanks in advance, not sure how busy you are to be able to reply ✌🏻 1:06
I’m in process of doing this to my 450…I ordered the 570 xmr front bumper/rack already but do you have the part number for the rad kit?
The part numbers are totally different unfortunately. This is a early G2 500 chassis which is the same chassis as a 650-850-1000. A 450 and 570 is G2L chassis which uses a different rad kit. You can find the numbers on Partzilla or if someone is parting out a 570 XMR
If you were going to add the xmr cvt intake how would you do that thanks
I’d grab all of the stock xmr pieces. There’s a large tube that runs where the radiator goes on a standard quad and then a tube that connects to that that runs to the filter screen on the XMR’s
Nice job !!
Great video as normal! I do have a question I've been wanting to ask for a while now, what is the music in the intro/outtro?
Not sure if the outro band name, but the intro is Marshall's and Seth's band.
Is it optional to put the radiator support bars? Fixing buy a relocate kit (oem) for my 850 xt but doesn't come with those bars on the sides although I do like how they look.
This is a completely different kit then the one you get from Can-Am. This is actually purchasing all the parts for an XMR and swapping it onto a non XMR. The OEM kit is basically like any other rad relocate kit on the market and bolts to your front rack
Got it!
Where can I get that XMR set up for my 2024 850 base model
You can built it yourself using sites like Partzilla. The easiest thing to do is find an Outlander XMR part out online and buy everything as a whole like I did 🤘🏼
@@LetDirtFly cool thanks🤙🏽
Did you use the stock fan or did you have to get the xmr fan for the relocate.
Stock
I want to do the xmr conversion on my 1000 xtp , will i need xmr front bumper? Or can i re use mines.
You will need the XMR. It has a different bracket setup on the top to accept the rad supports. The xt/xtp bumper has the supports that go to a from rack
Thanks for your help ! Been wanting to do this project for a while.
Hey sorry to bother you again but did you use the same pipes from your xt or did you also buy the xmr pipes? Thank you in advance
Did you add the cvt exhaust vent because my wife’s 22 850xt doesn’t have the riser vent and the cvt intake is on the left side where that line runs.
Yes, it’s the XMR snorkel for the exhaust that I put on. If you do it on the 850xt, you also need the 850xmr ecu relocation bracket. Super easy to do. I actually picked up the XMR snorkel off a part out quad.
@@LetDirtFly ill just have to relocate the cvt intake also brp probaly did this in purposebecause its on the left on a 22 im a HVAC guy i got this
How much for the front rack
Where did you buy all the parts for the swap ? Been wanting to do the swap on my xtp 1000 outlander .
I picked them up off a guy that was parting out a 850 XMR. That’s the easiest way to grab them. To buy it new, it can be expensive. One thing to keep in mind is the 850-1000 use a different rad hose setup then the 570-650.
Do you feel all the heat from the radiator as your driving?
Yes on hot days it’s a little warm, that’s why we play in the mud lol
On the instructions the hole on the right isn’t that big
Are you referring the hole in the hood?
