    I enjoyed the happy positive discussion of what could be a dry subject. Today I downloaded his audio book LIVING CONSTITUTIONALLY… and will play it in the car. This was an excellent presentation and wish more people would listen to it. Roger of Orlando

    l do like the idea of three presidents! A 3-person executive committee would very effectively restrain the excesses of a rogue executive like - well, you know.
    The Constitution might be amended to make the top four Cabinet positions ( State, Defense, Treasury, Justice) elected offices, chosen by the Electoral College. The president couldn't fire them, and they would have a vote on all executive orders and legislative acts. The President would be empowered to act unilaterally in national emergencies, but only for 30 days, and could be reversed after that period by a 4-to-1 or 3-2 executive committee vote.
    While we're amending, let's put in a ban on private campaign financing. The major parties have become private clubs where giant corporations and billionaires pick our leaders for us. Only public campaign financing can give us a truly representative government.

    All public servants are required to have an oath of office within 30 days of becoming a public servant, yet many do not have an oath, so their imposters and should be inprisoned for impersonating a public servant, so how do we the people enforce this ??

      Which public servants do you mean? If you're talking about low-level people like clerks in state governments, it depends on the laws of their state. But all federal and state officers - elected or appointed - take an oath to support the Constitution on their first day at work.
      If you believe that someone in office hasn't taken their oath, write to their superior and ask for proof. In most cases failing to take the oath is just an oversight, easily corrected. A far more serious issue is taking the oath and not upholding it.

    The preamble sets the stage for the Constitution (Archives.gov). It clearly communicates the intentions of the framers and the purpose of the document. The preamble is an introduction to the highest law of the land; it is not the law. It does not define government powers or individual rights. (Administrative Office of the United States Courts). The preamble clearly states the interpretation should always be in favor of the rights and guarantees Therin. "Do ordain and establish this Constitution" with the purpose of the constitution stated first. " In Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity". So, the purpose of the document is to protect those rights and freedoms. To set out the nature of them. Not to define the specific rights. Regardless the form or nature of a government. Regardless of time, culture and technology. And as such, should be interpreted as stated. In protection and biases of those rights.
