Any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the Galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through and still knows where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with. -Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

The spending, taking of the money which rightfully belongs to individuals in the doing, by our government is like an addict on a long-term binge. As long as it is feasible, it will never stop until self-destruction occurs, and it will without fail.

If you're going to have a speaker, he should know that conservatism is about the Constitution not the government. He should also know that we have a Republic not a democracy. Other than that, good information.

    “Not my job”?
EPIC FAIL! You swore an oath to uphold the constitution which is a proxy for securing our inalienable rights. As such, you have a constitutional duty to “NOT” execute unlawful laws, statutes, policies, etc.

I had a summer contract job as a kid overseas. U. S. Army Signal Corps, 1969 (dear old dad was the U. S. Embassy medical officer. He spent a lot of time in Laos. Do you really want to know who he worked for?). I was done with lunch and was waiting for something to be told to do. So, I found a crate of broken phones, went through and switched out good parts for bad and made about 75% good, working phones and segregated the now actual disfunctional phones into a cardboard box. Pleased with my work, I told my supervisor's officer what I had done when he can't out to give me some assignments. "What did you do!?" He blurted out. No, you don't do that again! They had money to spend and they were going to spend it!

The incoming congresswoman of the Texas border city of El Paso is warning of an imminent "crisis" as local officials and charities scramble to accommodate at least 1,600 migrants dropped off there by federal authorities in recent days.
Representative-elect Veronica Escobar, a Democrat, told CBS News, "We have these teams coming in to play in our Sun Bowl this weekend and the hotels are booked," referring to the college football game El Paso has hosted since 1935. "We're facing a real crisis coming up … to find places for all of these (migrant) families."
Escobar said migrants who can't be housed in shelters have been staying in hotel rooms paid by Annunciation House, the non-profit spearheading the efforts to house and feed them. But, she said, if U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continues releasing large numbers of migrants, the El Paso community will struggle to find places for them because many hotels have been booked by people attending Monday's game.
Escobar added it's already been "very, very difficult and very challenging" to put up the migrants dropped off by ICE. And, she said, the coming hotel crunch will only make the task tougher.

If FED YEAR-over-YEAR SPENDING is the:
    • ±0% is a CUT
    • +2% is a CUT
    • +4% is a FREEZE
    • +6% is an INCREASE
*When a DONOR visits a member of Congress who...*
...really likes a program, I can say:
_"I agree with you & that's why we increased spending this year, will you remember that & vote for me in Nov?_
...is a good fiscal conservative -- worried about government spending asks, I can say:
_"You know what..? I agree with *you* and that's why we cut spending on that program last year so would you remember that and vote for me in November..?
...and in this way it's been a very convenient way for a bunch of people to stay elected.

Read Uncivil Service... truly bad gov. employees are repairable or removable.
The real problem is OPMs hiring rules. The fact that a mentally disabled person has a better chance of getting a position in the gov. than a fully qualified able bodied person. (And schedule A is one of the most widely abused hiring provision there is)

  • @brutusmaximus5380

In direct violation of Article I, Section I of the Constitution, the vast majority of federal rules and regulations that govern Americans are not debated and passed by our elected representatives in Congress. Instead, they are promulgated by various administrative agencies that hold in their hands all three powers of government: legislative, executive, and judicial. The very definition of governmental tyranny, this kind of rule by unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats poses a serious threat to freedom.

The personalized BRICK stuck IN THE WALL pic he showed during his speech was his way of expressing contempt for your pro-America institution. If you notice he pretends to share the same respect for America's constitution BUT when he gave his big fancy speech he was promoting a bureaucratic run govt with grand promises of how he THINKS it will better at represent the will of people.

What does a wheeling dealing 'business man" who bankrupted casinos and hotels know about hiring bureaucrats and employees of jobs he has no idea how to do or what to do with them? Actually, I disagree that we do not produce or sell anything.
The United States government, produces the product of the people's ideas and will .. then sells the plan to the American people...such as infrastructure, or educational value, or labor .
But I wouldn't recommend the government giving you ideas on budgetary management 😁

"More people should read the Constitution...."
Said directly after his rant about Congress passing laws that prohibit the Executive Branch from changing how tax dollars are spent....which is exactly their job as stated in Article I Section 8, Article I Section 9 Clause 7 and Article 2 Section 3 Clause 1.
So, Mick, perhaps not speaking would be a better choice.

how did you get Rump to appoint you in particular? does he know you? what does Rump know regarding carrying out your position and what the qualifications and skills necessary to do so? Could you be seen as getting a favor of a political appointment for something you may not be as capable as a more experienced person is? Political appointments are often appointment for donations, for acquaintanceship, all kinds of unqualifying reasons. Not just trump, all politicians do this, and it is called CORRUPTION!!!
