  • This week in the Northern Ireland assembly Protestants and Catholics sit together for the first time in Ulster new Government. It is this Government, led by Brian Faulkner, that Ian Paisley and other Protestant extremists have vowed to destroy. Predictably these loyalist’s, on the initiative of’ Mr. Paisley, broke up the Assembly at Stormont and had to be carried bodily from the Chamber.

Funny how Paisley condemned violence when it was used as a tool to bring about a united Ireland, but encouraged violence in order to prevent a united Ireland.

Bigots and their followers are not usually the brightest. Hypocrisy and ignorance are their tools. The concept of a paradox is lost on them.

Very bitter and bigoted man with a closed mind .. done alot more harm than good.. if he was born in Dublin raised as a Catholic he would have been in the IRA.. but he didn't see Catholics as humans the man was brainwashed

Just let Ireland have northern Ireland and be done with it. The north mostly want to be Irish anyway. At the end of the day northern Ireland is Ireland, it is on the island of Ireland and probably should be Ireland. I am english and have to say it is very different from the rest of the UK. It should be Ireland.

Agreed Johnny. It does no harm to at least contemplate a United Ireland. Haven't we all just about had enough bigotry and violence in such a wonderful Country? As for those shots across the border, well, I'me afraid to speculate.
