I wish Battier did basketball commentary or something, he's pretty damn fun to listen to.

Its a shame that 98% of basketball fans won't ever watch this video or understand the true value a "Shane Battier" brings to any team, especially one with championship aspirations. Thank you for some great years in miami!

This man's my hero. He's the epitome of a real, classic underdog. He doesn't get as much credit as he truly deserves. But he had one heck of an NBA career, despite mostly being away from the limelight. Who's your daddy? Battier!!!

Wow, one of the most educated and articulate basketball players I've seen. You don't get a lot of Shane Battiers in the league today. A smart guy on and off the court.

You know for a few years in my life when my kids were smaller I helped coach little league football in our County. This is what I figured out about that game I played ball growing up and all that I figured out that if I'd spent most of my time working with my offensive and defensive lines and they blocked well and tackled well. Then it did not matter what the quality of my running backs or quarterbacks were. My boys on the line my bigger boys doing a really good fantastic job and enjoyed it they would make the running backs look like stars and we were a very difficult team to beat no matter who we played we were always either winning or in overtime. The coaches that was spent most of their time with their backs or quarterbacks running backs and those were the very ones that we usually took completely apart

Shane, if you are reading this, and you need legal counsel, please do not hesitate to contact me. The NBA needs professionals like yourself. You are my favorite player and clearly a true WINNER.

Shane Battier is a role model. I’ve been saying this since he arrived at Duke and is still my favorite all time blue devil. Have always known he was a true motivator. There’s a lot of great material to live by here. Well said, Shane.

People can say whatever they want to about the way you talk son I appreciate it I think you do a good job you tell the truth the truth is it's not the big thing that happens hit all the little tiny things that get you in the position to do the big thing. You can't be great at the big moment if you're not working hard and all of the little moments

I was a ball boy at Duke when Shane was there. After two free throws he would have a puddle of sweat 8 inches across. He would shoot around with us some and was always smiling and kind. One of my favorite players to watch at Duke. Got to hangout with his sister Ashley at Elon some a few years after that and she's dope too!
