Great video! I totally ignored these guys because the new SCE are more appealing to me but I must say these guys have very interesting tricks that can go well in the current metagame
I think they have the tools to do a bunch of interesting things, especially with the baron's free moves. If you wanted a spike of damage in OBR though there is always the opportunity to ally in pack tactics to your massed mortek guard :)
Awesome job as always. I had actually never see this at launch but yesterday I had a very hard need to use my Exemplar in a warband so I started crafting and my eyes got cough by these semi-dead fellas due to all the reasons you mention in the video. What about a Varghulf? I know it will reduce the numbers to 8 (so maybe better in Core Book pack) but in theory I quite like it. Keep it up mate, love yor vids, let's get to that 10.000 sub landmark!
Glad that it was useful for you. The Varghulf is a nice ally also; it gives that speed with a bit more chunkyness though recently I've been thinking about the Wielder of the Blade from the Headsmen's Curse with the +1 attack blessing; It's only 200 points, has a better damage profile then a Varghulf, has an inbuilt movement double, net, resurrection and strength debuff but still on a m6 flying base which I think could be pretty good for them.
I’ve had a couple matches now where there is a compelling case for taking some Ghoul Gore-Squires….in some objective matches like Ley Lines or whatever, when you need a ghoul or two to hold that objective on their lonesome, as your opponent sweeps through. My regular ghouls were just melting off one by one. I kept thinking of my sprue of unbuilt ghoul gore squires sitting at home, toughness 4 and twice the health… yeah they’d still be alive and holding down these objectives. Lol
At just under twice the price also XD Yeah, I've been thinking about the squires alot recently; I think if you were to go 10-fighters with 6x squires it wouldn't necessaraly be terrible. I did say that there was a lot to like about their profile in the review but that s3...
Very interesting idea. You could get a Flaymaster, two Barons, five Squires and two trackers for 990pts. That sounds fun, I’d try that haha. You’d certainly be praying for a quad at some point lol
@Eggiwegs! I think the analogy to bestogors is pretty valid tbh. We took a list recently that was to the effect of GBS, 6x bestigor, 4x gor and in think the ghouls can put forward something similar to good effect

Can be any Horror to be the target of Chosen of the king.
Chosen of the King is available on either the Crypt Haunter, Crypt Haunter Courtier or the Crypt Horror so any one of those three fighters would be a fine pick.

I thought "visible fighters" includes themselves?
Friendly fighters = ability can be used on yourself.
Visible friendly fighters = ability can't be used on yourself.
