    Awesome sauce! 🎉
    Great write-up of the different lists!
    Will definitly use it for some pick up and play battles.
    Looking forward for the other grand alliances.

      Many thanks :) I'll have to finish listbuilding for the other GAs first... If Games Workshop eases up on the release schedule to give me time to look at them XD

    Nice to see these all together! The big number FEC are highly tempting... Though we still need to see what the new expansion brings in terms of Cryptguard and the Morbeg Knights.
    All that said, I'm mainly here to establish the bespoke Nighthaunt prayer circle.

      Hopefully we will have FEC updates sooner then later :)
      And prayers for Nighthaunt are very much appreciated 🙏

    Taking weaker stuff for a more friendly game is all well and good, but the vargskyr is just frustrating. It looks so big and threatening, and then it rolls two dice for attacks and just doesn't do anything. A single Grave Guard hits harder for a third of the points. I don't need or even really want it to be 'efficient', I'd be fine if it were even more expensive, if only it hit as hard as it looks.

      lol maybe the Vargskyr wasn't the best choice on my part 😅 I do think that the Korsogi are pretty fancy though..

    I must say that I’ve personally settled on the Askurgan Exemplar as my ally with the Arch Regent, a couple of Crypt Horrors and the rest just add crypt ghouls to taste. His strength 6 and three attacks really allows him to cut through more targets of opportunity. Just no fly…. And no resurrection. So bit of a trade off but you can plan for that.

    • @OffMetaMusings
      @OffMetaMusings  Před 7 měsíci +2

      The Exemplar is a generic good pick IMO. I think if i were forced to pick only one death hero to ally in it would probably be a Ferocity Wielder of the Blade though thanks to the hitting power, resurrection, move, fly and decent abilities.

    Thanks for this list! I've been checking out the Destruction lists you made and I got to say that they are working great!
    I have a question though, 12:23 isn't there the bladeborn rules applied on this? like there are too many allies in it by then?
    I just got curious as I need to know the rules of Allies when it comes to Bladeborn and normal allies

    • @OffMetaMusings
      @OffMetaMusings  Před 6 měsíci

      Ah yes Bladeborn: those rules allow you to bring any amount of members from the Bladeborn warband as allies AS LONG AS you bring the Hero from that warband. Those additional members also don't take up any additional ally slots. So in this case, we take King Morlak as our ally and are allowed to take the rest of the Sons of Velmorn as additional allies but not using using up more of our ally allowance (aside from the 1 to bring Morlak in the first place).

    I do not understand that divine blessing rules. As far as I see, this is an optional rule, and I can't find any paragraph that allows its use by NH warbands.

    • @OffMetaMusings
      @OffMetaMusings  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Divine blessing rules were released in WD490 as a set of additional Matched Play rules for people to use BUT they have been widely accepted in pretty much all events that have happened so far (with the exception being Adepticon but something may be done for next time). Before the game begins you are essentially allowed to spend remaining points to upgrade your fighter's stats so a common thing to do is to give those 2 Attack high damage fighters an extra attack to make them more favorable. I did a video explaining them here: czcams.com/video/Bg3EJTI83DA/video.html or you can find the rules themselves here: warcrier.net/docs/rules/optional-rules/#divine-blessings

    How would you buy the ossiarch bonereapers team what’s the best way as I’m very new to table top gaming but love the models

    • @OffMetaMusings
      @OffMetaMusings  Před 6 měsíci

      I actually talk about the best way to build OBR in this video here (timestamped for convenience): czcams.com/video/_NSIcuGdmm0/video.html
      Though the short version is that you are probably looking to take a Hekatos, at least 2x Stalkers with Spirit Blades and then 4x Mortek Guard with Spears. That leaves a healthy 275 points to fill out with whatever you like. Those points could look something like a Dreadblade Harrow as a Night Haunt Ally, A varghist from Soulblight Gravelords as an ally, or if you wanted to keep everything in-faction; More Necrocopolis Stalkers or Morghast Harbingers/Archai if you wanted some more speed in there. Then you round out with Mortek Guard with any points you might have left over.

      @@OffMetaMusings I listened while kids were singing troll movie songs haha I meant do you buy individual boxes or a large battle box etc

    • @OffMetaMusings
      @OffMetaMusings  Před 6 měsíci

      Ah right :) specifically for Warcry I'd probably just pick up the mortek guard and necropolis stalker boxes, though you can get individual mortek sprues from ebay so I might look to start there. The only problem I've got with the big warcry factions is that you only really need maybe 5/6 of any individual fighter and games workshop boxes normally come in blocks of 10-20
