This is my list, using Grymwatch models as proxies. the Leader being another Flaymaster, and I kit-bashed one of the Squires into a Baron, so I have 2 of each of the better fighters:
    (990) Royal Baron Flayers (10 models)
    175 Royal Flaymaster
    175 Royal Flaymaster
    115 Beastflayer Baron
    115 Beastflayer Baron
    95 Ghoul Squire
    95 Ghoul Squire
    55 Ghoul Tracker
    55 Ghoul Tracker

THats pretty nice I think for a one-and a half box warband. I'll bet you get a good amount of use out of pack tactics :)

@@OffMetaMusingsI do! It's a gigantic boost of sling-shotting the entire warband wherever they need to be on the very 1st round.
Specially to start hitting people right away, it's been VERY useful and lots of fun to do it.
Makes it very easy to gang up on enemies in order to use the Flaymaster Triple to do damage

Thanks for the shoutout at the end! I was on the fence about buying Nightmare Quest (I really like that pyramid and I only bought a single Ghur box so far) because the Beastflayers didn't appeal to me. However after watching this video I think I might try to come up with some off-beat scheme for them after all! With a OOP Ghouls Warcry box I and the Underworlds band I wanted to buy anyway I'll be close to having both a playable Beastflayer and Courts warband :D

I played against them in the last TTS league; was super surprised by how well they could do. Enjoy :)

Thank you for the shoutout kind sir! Glad to help where I can. Now my question is about the Beastflayers. Everyone seems to hate on the Ghoul gore squires in that warband. I don’t think they’re that terrible myself, yes their strength 3 isn’t the best but for a piece to help tie up your opponent, they last longer than a regular ghoul tracker. So is there something that can be done via Divine blessings to help them out, that would make them worth it? Fortitude?

So i like the squires myself, despite them not being amazingly good. I think that the 95 points is actually pretty decent with their 12w, t4 and 4A. The real problem is their strength 3 though so that's where I'd look to do something first. it would put them to 110 each but would give them a decent bump in damage. Alternatively, maybe either toughness or wounds might help if the goal is to have them run as tankier ghouls but at that point you need to weigh up the pros and cons between buffing your squires or just taking more trackers in the list given that they are so cheap.

    Great video mate!
Two important additions that may of been over looked.
1: Crypt Haunter Courtier has S5 which can get a way to crack high T with chosen of the king.
2: baffling parley is an amazing reaction.

Whats the right wording for swift judgement? The text on screen has a random "3" in the middle of the description... Is it the value of the action, is that a random omission?

      @OffMetaMusings  Před 9 měsíci +2

Ah yeah, that screengrab was taken from warcrier which was wrong at the time; the actual wording is that the fighter makes a bonus move action up to the value of the dice (so if you roll a 6, you can move 6)
