  • This adorable Dress Towel Topper is a nod to those vintage towel toppers of the past. Maybe you stitched some up by hand with your gramma's help!
    My Dress Towel Topper Template features my new gray No Slip Backing material - "No Slipping; No Kidding!" - which makes the cutting process so much easier and more accurate.
    And that means the stitching is fast, too. I'll show you my technique to make these without any raw edges or the need to cover up stitches with lace or ribbon. This gives a more professional look.
    You'll have such fun picking fabrics and ribbon to match your Tea Towel. You can dress it up with buttons & trims - or not.
    Make these to dress up your kitchen or give them as gifts for anyone that has a kitchen!

    What kind of Rotary Cutter are the ones you're using? With those blue handles? I've never seen them before. They look ergonomic.

    • @Lindavideos
      @Lindavideos  Před rokem +1

      The cutter I use is Martelli's ErgoCutter from www.martellinotions.com. The blue is for lefties; red is for right handers. They have a 45mm which I'd recommend as your 1st but they also have a 28mm & a 60mm. They are truly ergonomic...

      I do! I actually have 2 different versions that you can find with the attached link. V2 is the one I recommend but V1 is a few dollars cheaper. (Engraved markings are wrong but I have added the correct ones with a metallic Sharpy).

    I just love this cute little towel topper dress! I loved watching you make it also... You have amazing tutorials, and I really enjoyed you walking through each step explaining everything. I am a visual learner, and appreciate the time you took doing this video. Thank you! I can't wait to make one. I was supposed to do my very first craft show this year, but the lady who runs had to cancel due to her husband passing away, so all the stuff I made has to sit till next year now. I think these would be a big hit selling these for next year. I love that you can do so much to embellish them also! May I ask where you purchase your tea towels? I've looked online, and there so expensive! Yours are so cute...Love the Gnome! One more question: Does a written pattern come with the template? I went to the page, but I don't see any patterns...

      Hi Karen - thanks for your nice comments! I do talk a lot so I'm glad you appreciate the detail. I find tea towels everywhere since I am always on the hunt. Target is a good spot to try but just be on the lookout wherever you shop especially after the holidays. I do have a lot of gnome towels so if you'd like a bundle of one particular kind or a mix, let me know. I have some Take n Make Kits that come with directions, but you can always request a particular one. I also have a Towel Topper Kit that has a fat quarter of coordinating fabric and 1 Tea Towel. No directions for the Dress since the video is so detailed but I probably will write some after Cyber Monday to share with anyone that purchases the template. It's hard to explain in words how to do some of the techniques I show. There are lots of directions online on many of the projects that I do so I don' t always need to re-write the wheel. Thanks again!

      @Lindavideos  Před 3 měsíci

      Thanks for asking! I have 2 versions but had requests for 2 more styles - 1 that's square at the neck & the other is the complete template w/ a fussy cut frame. They are done but not on the website yet. I need to film a video to show the differences. If you want to see them or get them, give me a call at 850-44nine-02five9. You can find the 2 shown in the video here:
