Hi, you are correct you can sew in the center of the ribbon, I highly recommend to secure stich at the start and end of the ribbon on the skirt. Thanks for watching and Happy Sewing!
Hi, the fabric was from a stash I had almost 20 years, I had purchased it from Joann fabrics. The dish towel was from Hobby Lobby a couple years ago. Happy Sewing!

First time seeing your video really like your topper idea with the square neck
Thank you!
Thank you Dee. I guess you just sew down the middle of the ribbon to secure it?

When adding trim to the square neckline did you cut around the corners then start a new piece and repeat process?
It’s a one piece, I used a 45 degree angle in the corners , Happy Sewing !
What is that interfacing you used?
@michellejohnson3524 Pellon P44F Fusible Interfacing , you can use any interfacing for your fabric weight. Thanks for watching and Happy Sewing!
So cute but you didn't show how to make the neck opening.
