Thank you for your review - always appreciated! I've been using the RB 11's for a few years and these are my favorite bag gloves. They take a while to break in but they are really comfortable after they do. They also pop really loud on the heavy bag when you land on the knuckles.

I have this in XL (13.6 oz) and the wrist /hand position and excellent , foam is very firm. I have a large size had and it fit's perfect. They are pretty hot and don't dry out pretty fast at all, hoping that someday they will make a leather version. Great glove for anyone just starting out, really helps keep everything lined up for a good solid punch, and if your off a bit then there is support to avoid any damage.

Do you like the thumb attachment Rival used on this glove? As you pointed out, it’s not the traditionally small piece of leather, but more like a “wing style” thumb attachment. Any thoughts on why Rival is using this design?

My fairtex bgl7 16 s just arrived the other day. Maybe I should do a youtube review as there aren't that many around.
Now I have my eyes on a bag/pad glove around 12 ounces to help simulate my speed and stamina in the ring as I would be using around 12 ounce gloves for ameature muay thai bouts. These rivals have been on my radar. These or intellishock etc...
Basically, I am looking for a glove around 12 ounces with good protection and pop and can fit my hand as I am 6'1 250. Not necessarily long fingers but fairly large hands. For comparison, my new bgl7 16s are a comfortable snugness but have extra length for the fingers. It feels kinda wierd coming from my winning 16s that are pretty much perfect. It makes me think I could have gone with the 14 or even 12 ounce bgl7 s

Hi my hand is 9.5 cm wide and 21cm long. I was advised to get the large but I feel my fingertips really pushing through the top of the glove and the mouse of my hand feels like not high enough in the glove to be comfortable. The glove in all feels really stable though. The seller told me i just need to break in the gloves and they will give in time. Perhaps I previously bought my gloves to large? always bought XL in other brands but then there was to much wiggle room for my hand. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I have a pair of these in the XL red version, great gloves but the padding only lasted around 6 months on the bag before I started to get sore knuckles. One other thing I noticed & interested to hear your thoughts on this but the angle of the punching surface made me change my punches a little so it would land flush with the bag, more when throwing hooks, I would look for that satisfying pop because landing on the first 2 knuckles would give a dead feeling on impact..

Out of all my gloves the RB11's (xl) fit and feel perfect but the foam is just too damn hard for me so looking for something with similar ergonomics and cuff length but more forgiving yet with feedback. Tried the RS1 Ultra but foam a bit too thuddy and also doesn't feel as good in terms of ergonomics

Just came home from the gym using these gloves for the very first time. “Stiff” isn’t the right word. I’m going to stick it out another while with them because apparently they’re great once they’re broken in but dammit. The skin on my lower knuckles is broken from landing shots on the wrong part of the glove. It’s not my form rather the inability to make a super tight fist. I’m optimistic they’ll work out once broken in but it really is a bummer that their gloves seem to be hit and miss. I tried a $30-40 pair of RB4 Econo gloves and they were amazing. I’m hoping these work out. I don’t want to send back another pair of gloves 😔

@@calluma8472 these are my most-used gloves, favorite gloves, loudest pop gloves. My earlier comment was just the break-in period. They're amazing in short. I'm now in the market for a new pair and I'm considering buying a second pair of RB11s or the HDE-F Bag Gloves.
My review now a year later... I'd tell anyone to buy them. The pop is loud and I love that and I have never hurt my wrist using these gloves (and I'm a heavy weight throwing full punches in my workouts, not pitter patter jabs). The initial bump of breaking them in is tough but after that 4th or 5th workout, they're excellent.

Liam Ross yeah I agree to a certain extent in regards to being too heavy from the gel material and reduces the feedback from contact way too much. I guess if you have a hand injury and just need something that really absorbs shock then it’s a solid choice. But like yourself I just don’t like how heavy the gloves are and the reduction in feedback

The only thing bad about rival is that large logo, they should just use text “Rival” that’s it! Orange alien is completely unnecessary, I would fire the marketing guy who convinced everyone on that shape. Just “Rival” would make their gloves amazing looking. I just got a pair of RB11s...I don't know about these. I'm not in love. This is not the first time I spent a good amount of money to get a Rival glove and I end up not impressed. It feels cheap and doesn't feel comfortable, especially for a machine made synthetic glove. I understand handmade leather gloves can have their quirks...but these shouldn't i feel. The fingertip compartment feels sloppy and not smooth the material feels bunched up in places, the feel of crunchy mesh material in the palm and finger area...stiff glove with relatively hard foam...I also wasn't impressed with the RS11V. The only Rival gloves I love are the Rs1 2.0 Ultra Sparring gloves I got and the RB10 which eventually came to like for boxing fitness classes where I sweat a ton hitting the heavy bags.
