    Ive got a set on my 06 tacoma and will be getting another set after these!
    They look cool with the asymmetrical treads, quiet on the road, and absolute machines off road.
    Ive taken mine through sand, mud, dirt, hills, rocks, clay, and deep snow - theyve never let me down.

    These tires are great. I've had Mickey's in the past and got excited when I saw these drop. They're great in the clay (as well as a tire can be in clay) and are quieter than the MTZ. I've got them in 35" on a JK.

    Just picked these up for a Tundra (35x12.50x18).
    I’ve had: BFG MT KM1’s and KM2’s, Goodyear MTR Kevlars, Toyo MT’s, Goodyear Duratracs, Nitto Trail Grapplers, Swamper TSX’s....and so far, these tires are amazing!!!
    I was incredibly surprised with the on-road manners, especially in the rain. I almost went with the BFG KM3’s, but the tire store lost the set I ordered and offered these at the same price. I decided to go with them because they looked so aggressive and had good reviews.
    On road noise is minimal.
    Performance in rain is outstanding for a MT.
    Weight is better than a KM3 and WAY better than a Trail Grappler.
    Size (in 35”) was bigger than a KM3 and less than a Trail Grappler. KM3 is 34.6, Boss is 34.8, Trail Grap is 35.02.
    Tread depth is 21/32 for Boss and Trail Grap. KM3 was 18/32.
    Kind of a no-brainer for me.
    The only question is, how long will they last? My Trail Graps were 40K+. MTR and BFG were 30+.
    I’m guessing with soft compound these Boss’s will be in the mid 30’s. Which I’d be okay with. Just hope they are closer to 40K than 30K.

      How are these holding up? I've had my Nitto Ridge Grapplers (315/70R17) on my 2013 Tundra for 50,000 miles, but it's time to replace them and these are at the top of my list. I've had Nitto Terra Grapplers (didn't like), Toyo Open Country MT's and the Ridge Grapplers, which have been the best of the bunch so far.

      @@sloguyty5915 No, they are still a great tire, I’d go with them again. I don’t drive the truck much at all, so have no clue on how much mileage I’ll get out of them. I’d have to check mileage when purchased to confirm miles. Another impressive tire is what my wife drives on daily and they have almost 40K miles on them, the Yoko Geo G003 MT. They have plenty of tread left as well, I haven’t gauged them, but those are highly recommended too.

    This tire is not a hybrid tire. It is a very aggressive mud tire with large lugs, large voids, and huge side biters. I have 37x17s on a jeep jk daily driver. Mine are surprisingly quit and very, very smooth and vibration free at speeds up to 85mph, which is as fast as I've had my Jeep. They perform off road like you would expect an aggressive mud tire to perform. Mine see a lot of deep mud, deep sand, loose and hard packed dirt on average a couple times a week. They are awesome off road! I don't baby my jeep. I have a 2.5" Rock Krawler x factor lift with Dynatrac Prorock Dana 60 rear and Prorock 44 front, Arb Lockers and more.

    I got a pair of the MT EXP when they first came out. You can drive them everwhere. I have not tested in deep snow, but mud, loose trails, and mainly the highway they kick ass. I have about 40k miles on them and they are dead smooth. No shimmy, no crazy hum ( except for small zone at low speed) , i am blown away by them. I expected them to be 10k miles then junk ...but they are jusy as good as any michelin for fraction of cost. I always thought of drag radials and MT When i thought of Mickey Thompsons. I will prob try the AT'S next, wish they were still cheap and kinda a secret. I got my 33 for like $175 a tire on sale. I give them a 4.7/5

    I had Baja claw radials 33x12.50's on my
    2000 Jeep xj and I did basically all street driving and I got about 30k out of mine. Those jeeps are pretty light (I think around 3500 or less) and this was back in 2007. I was a teenager so I didn't care if they were loud, but they were pretty dang loud but rode pretty smooth except when coming to a stop and taking off. The xj was so light And the tread pattern on the tires were so aggressive it would Rattle. I hated that part of it.
    (and no nothing was wrong with my Jeep, I thought something was too, but trust me I put all terrains on it to compare and they were smooth as can be). But on a heavier vehicle I'm sure they don't do this, if so not as bad.
    I had 2 friends in high school who put Mickey Thompson mtz's on their wranglers and they didn't do that. Nice and quiet and smooth. Much less aggressive tread pattern but still a good tire. If I had kept the Jeep those probably would have been what I would have bought next.

    • @TrailBuilt
      @TrailBuilt  Před 4 lety +6

      I personally have not ran the Baja Boss, but am loving my KM3's. Plus, with the off-roading conditions here in Wisconsin, it's better to have tread lugs that are spread further apart as we have a lot of think mud up here, plus snow and a tightly grouped center tread pattern isn't going to evacuate the mud and snow as well as a tread pattern with more open voids between the tread lugs, like the KM3's. So, with that said, a lot of the tire's performance has to do with what type of off-road terrain you have in the area's where you go wheeling. Hope this helps and thanks for watching! ~ Josh from TrailBuilt

    • @bradtucker8362
      @bradtucker8362 Před 2 lety

      I would think that the Baja Boss would be better in the snow than the KM3 since they have 3peak mountain snowflake. AT tires should be better in snow than MT tires. They have more contact patch & biting edges. Plus MT’s will pack up ice in the huge voids. That is why you can’t find MT tires with the 3 peak snowflake.
