I've lived here all of my almost 60 years, but I'm disabled for the last 10 so I can't get out anymore to hike the trails or enjoy the wilderness like I once did. Thank you for taking me along to the hikes and trails I once visited so often. I know this was a tough one for you, but it was wonderful to wstch🥰💗🇨🇦
I commend you for slowing down your travel time; both for yourself and especially for Frank. It’s so important to slow down and savor the elder days we have with our dogs. We hear their words of wisdom, so much clearer as they get older.

We just had to say goodbye to one of our dogs. He had a growth that started to cut off his breathing. The growth was there for a few years but wasn’t large until recently and it appeared to grow fast. It was a shock when the vet said this was the only thing we could do. So sudden. Been a very hard sad day. He was my driving buddy, walking buddy and sleeping buddy. Love him so much. He was my brothers be for my rather passed away. As I watch your outings I already feel so sad for you when your best friend will have to leave you. Praying that is not for a very long time. Our Teddy was 14 years old. Horrible sad day. You're the first Woman I know who loves spring Nettles!! I call it, " Shrek Soup", because of the irradiating green colour.
I cook them up with a can of chicken cream soup and finish with parmesan cheese. Best liver cleanser money can't buy. Older nettles taste fishy, (just ask Shrek).
Your salad reminds me of when i used to cook for my kids . I would make chicken fricasee . I would cook some chicken and then whatever the frick I see in the fridge i would throw that in too 😂

Huge Ross an astrophysicist goes every year to a secluded erea and sits still for 4-5 hours and then the animals comes to be with him. Ross say animals that are not hunted will be curious and friendly to us if we give them time to get used to us being calm i their erea. He is Canadian and what a place for nature lovers. Norway

Frankie's living his best life with you getting to go to these amazing , beautiful places. Although he isn't as mobile as once upon a time you can tell he really enjoys his life in the wilds 😊.
If you could ever make it work I would highly recommend getting a mini wood stove. My cubic mini cub wood stove has been one of the best investments I have made. Not just for the amazing heat produced but the ambiance of it and also you can cook on it as well if you ever ran out of natural gas for your cooking. Not to mention not having to spend money on gas for a diesel heater.

It’s a must to have a second heat source to be prepared, a butane stove is cheapest way , or a buddy heater and yea they are perfectly safe inside

Amanda, what a beautiful vlog! ❤ Great reflection too, about how you were missing out on being in nature when in the van with the diesel heater, etc., and how it was a good reminder of how you used to be more connected to what was around you. What a hike! And the pine marten!! I love slow mornings too; it's the best way to begin each day. Is this the area where you saw a massive black bear a few years ago? He/she was along a pebbled beach, and you could see the bear from behind the bushes, you were on a trail... (I cannot remember exactly what year it was.) 😊
