Fun fact: Gaia is also BLS. This is from the manga and is why a large number of gaia and BLS cards effect each other.
That makes a lot of sense since original yugioh was ritual friendly. Having magician of black chaos being a ritual evolution to dark magician. So having Black Luster being the ritual evolution to gaia

@@AceTrainerLupi Oh i completely forgot about that. I also like that BLS and Magician of Black Chaos are one level higher then gaia and Dark magician.

@@SpikeVein BLS is actually named Chaos Soldier. Also Gaia is the Darkness Knight Gaia in Japan. So the Darkness Knight became the Chaos Soldier. Hence why its all chaos typed.

We need a « read the card series » where each week you and someone else open a single pack and have to read every card in it’s entirety at the end of the series you each make a deck where you actually know what the cards do

2:01 no, you still did go Kaiba -> Yugi. You just got some of Yugi's *other* cards. Also if you look at Lord Gaia's artwork, that creature underneath Gaia kind of looks like it is halfway between a horse and a dragon. I think the horse became the dragon, and that's why it is the "Curse" of Dragon.

Something else that's very funny about House Dragonmaid's second effect: In return for it being able to miss timing, it's also NOT ONCE PER TURN.

out of all the yugioh characters Seto Kaiba would ABSOLUTELY have the most ppl attempting to cancel him for saying slurs 😂
I actually merged both of these archetypes and found that it's pretty decent. You can get set up 2 Sheou, sending one to grave to retrieve later through Chamber's start of battle phase effect, or you can aim for having the field full of Gaia Dragon Fusions with piercing as changeover works on ALL dragon fusions, not just dragonmaids.

Game 2 from Doug was extremely painful.
my first foray into yugioh was through Master Duel, and Dragonmaids were my first deck,
I'm commenting before watching, but unless someone cheats and goes for the Salamangreat runback, whoever pulls Dragonmaid has 0 excuses if they lose.
My second was zombies it hirt seeing mbt play it (ancient gear and odd eyes were my first decks since I owned them irl zombies was me trying to make vendreads work
As someone who has played both, no. Gaia is more than capable of beating Dragonmaids due to how it works. Unfortunately Doug was playing it.
It hurts so much seeing Doug playing one of my pet decks so bad... but on the other hand, it's hilarious seeing MBT playing dragonmaid lmao

Gaia’s horse turned purple and that really pissed him off. That’s how he became the fierce knight
Funny thing was Spheres pass in the 2nd game was the absolute correct play.
Regardless MBT won somehow despite the Gaia field hard countering Dmaids and MBT himself not understanding how the Dmaids work. From not understanding house misses timing and that Tidying hits both grave and field

Doug missing lethal twice was a bad, but luckily MBT couldn’t get draw a way to get out of it. So I’m the end it doesn’t matter.
That last game though, there is no world in which Doug can win that. It’s crazy because a single Gaia or dragon monster would’ve turned everything around.
i thought Joseph was referring to Gaia's release date, but he was actually talking about dragonmaid lol. I was like, "yes his effect is simply a beatstick in 2020"
I’ve wanted to purchase the Dragonmaid deck for a while because I can’t get started on Dragon Link, but I’ve been working on other decks and my gem are in tight supply.
Nice to see these duels play out!
Its a great starter for that deck. Shrine and WLG are useful too. Highly reccomend.

My head cannon is that the dragon maids are the maids of the Trap Evading Hero from the Labrynth archetype. Like, Lady spends so much time trying to woo her beloved only for it to fall on deaf ears because the Hero comes home to House and her adopted family after every adventure.
As a chaos player who has naturally played bla and Gaia this episode was painful. Doug acted like he wouldn't win and then scuffed it to all hell with his plays. Like damn, what was he thinking?
Gaia can absolutely beat D Maid if you know how to play it.

What would you think about rolling two structure decks and having players "bid" extra secret packs (for their opponent) in exchange for the right to pick their deck? e.g. "I think structure deck X is so much better than Y, that I'll give my opponent an extra packs if I get to play X"

Issue is those are starter decks, so literally like...if one gets a starter and the other gets any structure they would get steam rolled. You'd need them on their own wheel.

@@Dzeeff Well you did have 3 Whelps which can special it from hand/GY and Memories which can summon it from deck. Plus that would have let you use Robot and Wizard Buster, which are floodgates. Robot Buster would've shutdown his continuous spell/traps.

Jeez, literally the first play is activating chamber and instead of getting hospitality to summon the big green dragon, send small green one to the grave, revive with guardragon, send changeover to grave, bounce big dragon with change over and fusion into shoe...MBT goes right for the fusion spell.
That honestly left me disappointed, i really expected more from him, not tier 1 meta plays and strategies, but come on, it's just dragonmaids, not rocket science.
Even worse...he then proceeds to revive the big dragon with Shoe so he can't even change chamber during battle phase to trigger house. Dude, come ooooooon.
Know what, i'm not even gonna watch any further. If they aren't willing to put any effort into it.

I mean they are putting effort in. They are just not great at Yugioh. We don't watch them for that. I would have ditched too if I did after Doug acted like Gaia was the problem and not his plays. If Doug had played properly MBT would have lost to his own misplays.
