    Thanks! I'm going to try it! I don't use my pot very often, but it sure could use this deep cleaning. I've been afraid to take apart the lid, but you made it look easy.

    If your silicone sealing ring is retaining odor, place it in direct sunlight for several hours. Like magic, all smells are gone!!

      Wow! Really?!? I had one ruined by a batch of black eyed peas. I simply bought two replacements and just keep that one for making black eyed peas

    My Instant Pot is my favorite kitchen tool! I was recently cleaning mine and dropped the float valve down the sink drain. I felt like my heart fell down there with it lol! Thankfully they're only like $5 for 2 of them on Amazon. Comes with float valve and the little rubber thingies.

    I was today years old when I found out that lid can go into the dishwasher. I've just been putting the stainless steel base and seal in the dishwasher. You've saved me!

    I didn't know you could put the lid on the dishwasher. Yay! And the bottle brush is a great idea. Love that you mentioned debtkickinmom. It's like seeing my favorite superheroes together. 😁

    Does the dishwasher and dishwasher detergent damage the stainless steel finish? I’m hesitant because I don’t know for sure. Thanks for the great video!

      Life-changing!! Did you forget to take that meat out of the freezer? No problem! Dinner can still be ready in less than 20 minutes! All in one container! I don't know where you live but when it's hot, I don't want to turn on the oven so it's salads and InstaPot meals all the way, which saves money on the gas bill and doesn't heat the whole condo.

    Do you really need to dismantle the lid in dishwasher because everything gets cleaned with forced water.

    • @TheRealLydiaSenn
      @TheRealLydiaSenn  Před 4 lety

      Yes. It will grow mold.

    • @kinglord5429
      @kinglord5429 Před 4 lety

      Part of me says that is what hot water & detergent will prevent after all none of this is water tight. But our old dishwasher had black mold growing in all it parts and daily washing didn't prevent that. I'm sold on the need to wash your cleaning machines with stuff like refresh.

    ... and this is why I do not use "new fangled kitchenware"... I hate all the extra appliances. It has taken my hubby decades to figure out that my cast iron pans are my friends and maybe, just maybe, my crock pot. Now that our kiddo's no long live at home. "Praise the Lord", I am actually looking for a small crock pot. That is way to much cleaning for me LOL.. Great video though...
