I didn’t know that the valve part came apart. I use a chopstick with a soft cloth around it and it does the job. You have an excellent video. Thanks Aloha

Thank you! What a great helpful video. I didn’t even know that you can remove valves out ! 😅

Omg thank you! I have an instant pot mini and I ALWAYS have crud in that narrow crevice on the top. I've tried using a wet paper towel but it didn't do as nice of a job as I wanted! I'm going to find a brush like that!
    Thank you!

I always try to be ready with the deglazing process if when cooking or after.
I've got to the point I always use liquid Bar Keeper's Friend on stainless steel when hand washing, more times than not when you're clean and dry you'll need to use it anyway so I just use it to begin with.
With staining of stainless steel one can also use a vinegar on discolored interior.
    Good tips and tricks.✌😊

I would like you to address cheese that has stuck to the chamber of the Instant Pot. I had made an excellent cauliflower and cheese soup. I used Sharp Cheddar and Monterey Jack. After removing the soup from the pot, I could tell it would be difficult to remove the cheese. I soaked the pot with dishwashin soap and let it soak for about two hours. (I wish I had thought of using baking soda before using a steel pad, as shown in your video!) Still, im wondering if a soft cheese, such as the Monterey Jack, is the problem? Thanks. This an excellent video!

9:29 If you look at the pot during this time in the video, that was from making instant pot Macaroni and Cheese.
Wash as much of it as you can with water, dish soap, scrape off as much as you can with a wooden spoon. You can turn on the sauté function if it helps. Then I use the stainless steel scouring pad, just like I show in the video. It takes everything off perfectly.

do you have to clean all those parts after each time you use it? Or do you clean the inner pot after each time and the rest of the unit when needed?

    • @OlgasFlavorFactory
      @OlgasFlavorFactory  Před rokem +1

The latter - I don’t deep clean it every time, just once in a while when it needs it. Otherwise, I just clean the inner pot and the lid, wipe off the outside if needed. It doesn’t require too much effort usually.

How can you remove cheese from the pot when it sticks to the bottom and sides

I am having a hard time getting the ring back in there

    • @OlgasFlavorFactory

Yes, that’s very common. Since it’s a silicone material and has to fit in tightly, it is a bit of a challenge.

Not so easy to clean inner pot when they have written quantity levels, not embossed like yours. Meaning you can't use anything to abrasive, to get off more stubborn food.

Embossing makes it easier, but the bottom is what needs the most cleaning. I hardly ever have to scrub the sides very hard.
