Hey love the videos been a long time follower. Question have you done any video showing the main drive pulley belt on a zero turn I have to replace mine on my Toro Time Cutter and looks like a pain. I'm going to tackle it this spring so I thought I would ask if there are any tricks to doing this.

Thank you for all the great videos over the years. I’m trying to figure out what I have wrong on a 1999 725g with a 9661 deck. I did extensive welding repairs to this deck and rebuilt it and now trying to get it going after years apart. I think I have it together properly but the left rear of deck is hanging really low and loose when the deck is raised up. It seems like it’s not latching but it appears to be latched properly but still sags on the left rear and scalps on that side. When I raise the lift handle the right side starts to raise right away and the left not so much. Does the short stabilizer bar on discharge side have anything to do with this? Or the two lever handle bushings in the height adjustment mechanism? The short stabilizer was rusted solid and had to be heated to remove and the position was lost on threaded rod. The bushings in the lever handle were missing so I made some out of a 1/2” spacer.
It seems like the problem is at the latch area where the load transfer arm with the d rings is. Per grasshopper I used a pry bar to lift the left rear of deck to get the latch to snap in place but appears to already be latched but sagging lower compared to right side. Thank you for any help you can give.

Hey might you have a part number for the bushings?

  • @80srockerable

Not sure about this era. But they also make slotted bushings which allow the deck to articulated up & down for dips, etc. v being fixed solid.

I have a grasshopper 618 model and cannot figure out how to adjust my deck lower. When I put it on the lowest setting it isn’t low enough it’s still about an inch and half or so off the ground could you help me with this please ?

The reason those go bad is that the way they are designed they hold the deck horizontally rigid to the tractor. That quickly wears the bushing out. You can now get bushings that are notched in the bottom middle to allow for more movement without destroying the bushing. I highly recommend that style for folks that mow where the lawn is not level and smooth. They will last much longer than the originals. And the easiest way to change those is to install the rear deck support jack, release the latches, lift the attaching arms with the height lever, and roll the tractor back slightly. Much easier to change those bushings without having to fumble around underneath the attaching arms. BTDT!

Got a picture or part number for those improved bushings? My yard has several ditches and a rigid deck won't last long.
