Last year Bama beat LSU 29-0. In a years time, LSU's offense led by Burrow turned it around and not only beat Bama but had a magical year thus far. And this is coming from a kid who was looked over by Ohio State and Nebraska. I'm not an LSU fan but I'm happy for this kid & Coach O. Well deserved congrats.

I know so many that don't read CZcams comments. For the memory of my parents I have to write this. I grew up I Baton Rouge, Louisiana my whole life. Saturdays was talk in the house about LSU football and come Sundays it was all about Saints football. I'm 43yrs old and I can NOT be more proud of what Joe Burrow has done for the LSU team. Let me explain.
On September 14, 2009 at 10:30am I got a phone call. My momma and best friend passed away. She was the biggest Saints fan I knew and would tell me stories about their trips to the Dome to watch. She died while the Saints were undefeated and like a baby, I couldn't hold back the years as we won the 1st ever Superbowl that year.
Now on to my daddy. I remember a little bit of the fights that him and my grandpa would get into. My dad loving LSU and my Grandpa loving Alabama, you want to talk about fights. Well my grandpa passed away in 1980. I was only 4 and my dad always asked me how I remembered those arguments. I honestly don't know. But on October 14, 2019 my dad passed away from a major heart attach. The time called as at 10:45. It was 10 years and one month and 15 minutes to the time of my mother's death. He loved Joe Burrow and said son he will join Billy Cannon to be the 2nd Heisman trophy winner for LSU. I met Mr. Cannon years ago at an autograph session at Primetime collectables in Baton Rouge and he still looked like he could run. Lol. But like with my mother, he didn't get to see Joe hold up that Trophy this passed Saturday. And if the Tigers can put out a Championship on top. I don't know if my heart will be able to take it. To know my mother didn't get to see her Saints win the Superbowl and now my dad has been taken away at 73yrs old and won't get to see the rest. But he did get to watch LSU beat Bama!!!!! So to Bama fans but y'all had won so many games in a row that my did needed this one.
I'm not asking for money or anything. Please hit the like button. It's taken me almost 7 hours to type this. Crying like a brand new baby. God Bless you all and thank you for reading a story that means so much to me and I know they would love it. Well I hope so anyways. I think that's about it. Coach O, you have taken a team that I thought wouldn't ever have a Quarterback throwing the ball. Man I tip my hat. Joe I wish you all the best man. @@joestupid2571 it's very hard at times. I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter that will never know how a hug will feel from her. Not a day that goes by, that at some point I don't think think about her. I'm sorry for your loss, it's one of the hardest losses I've had. I know I wouldn't be able to handle it if anything happens to one of my kids or wife. Keep your head up and just know that they are watching and that as long as they are in are hearts, they really aren't truly gone. God Bless and hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

Can't argue with Burrow winning the Heisman as he definitely deserves it, but I really don't see how it was such a wide gap between he and Fields and how Hurts was ahead of Fields. It wasn't that wide a gap in the resume.
Total TDs: Burrow 48 passing, 3 rushing; Fields 40 passing, 10 rushing.
Ints: Burrow 6; Fields 1.
Total Passing Yards: Burrow 4,715 on 342/439 (78%); Fields 2,953 on 208/308 (67.5%) (4,208@439 attempts conversion)
Both took their teams to an undefeated record while playing multiple ranked teams.
Fields also sat out most of the second half of the games that weren't against ranked opponents and generally had to play against tougher defenses (PSU, Wisky). I could be wrong, but I think Burrow didn't sit much.
But yeah, grats to Burrow. He has been a beast and there's no denying his Heisman win. Just saying I don't understand why it was such a wide victory.

Lol I love the talk about players being taken out early in the games. Yes fields didn't play in most 4th quarters, but neither did Burrow. Burrow finished the game 4 times this season. Against Texas, Florida, Auburn, and Alabama. Burrow was taken out in the 4th quarter against UGA in the SEC Championship. So you can put up "video game" numbers even while being taken out early in the game.
Joe Burrow should be Drew Brees successor at the Saints.

Yeah, Billy Cannon was a dentist/orthodontist. He committed the crime you mentioned and went to prison for 2 1/2 years. I understand why Haskins was named the starter for the 2018 season... because Barrett had 2 apparent injuries in "The Game" ("lack of leadership", and "diminishing skills")... and because Haskins turned the game around... and went 6 of 7 for 94 yards after Barrett only had 30 yards for the game.
But... what would JOE BURROW have done... if given the chance...?
Chase Young was a better player I think but it always go to a quarterback and Burrow was the best quarterback this season.
Missed 2 games and was a no show in others....but yea, he was better.
