The mid 2000s Ford GT is a speed demon of epic proportions. It may not be the best for drag or handling (even when modified for that) but for high way roll ons like this it trumps everything. Last time I checked it holds the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the Texas mile. It's one cool car.

Gen 1 Ford GT is by far my favorite car ever made. Been my dream car for over 15 years now. Some of those pulls almost brought me to tears, because there's new content being made of this fantastic car, with an owner that straight-up sends it!
Man I've been a tuner guy my whole life, but I've always loved these two cars and those engines. Hearing them both go at it full throttle makes me teary its so beautiful.

The second generation GT is definitely as we say in Germany a Höllenmaschiene or like Hell Mashine in English don't know if the word exist😂🙄 Not a car for every day just to rowdy and Raw, I would prefer the Corvette if we forget about Money, that corvette of course is not kid toy as well but the GT is brutal, with old technology, low standard in Safety and for me a bit too legendary to drive it Miles and Miles on the Street, as a Race car with aero and race tires the GT would be the Ultimate raw Track day experience if I had 350.000€ plus surely super heavy maintenance, repair and operating costs. The Corvette for 120k $ brand new with warranty and all this stuff is super reliable and comparatively cheap to drive and Maintain. david woods the new ford GT is 400+ thousand dollars....to have a crappy fart can v6. To put that in perspective you can buy two of these REAL Ford GTs or get one and do all of these upgrades for less. Ford dropped the ball with the road version of this car. It should of came with the voodoo engine from the GT350 with a supercharger. That would of been insane.
woods porsches have 6cyl in them also so it's really not impressive. Corvette and Porsche dominate that class every year. The ford gt with a v8 was epic plus it looks like the orginal gt40.

As a life-long GM guy, that model GT was the best thing Ford EVER produced. It might not be the fastest (when stock) but it's easy to modify and sooooooo f*cking good-looking! The new GT, despite it's "improvements", pales in comparison to its big brother. Stay safe everyone. Cheers from Florida.

Whipple 4.5 is a POS, the GT would have been way faster at 800-1100 rw with a TVS 2.65
PS, a PD supercharger doesn’t add engine displacement, lol. It’s just a PD compressor, ultimately.

That's what my brother did to his 2004 GTO with a full roller motor all hotchkis suspension. Dyno at 1200 bhp . It's sick .
I dont think many people twin turbo that model . Its supercharged from the factory and most people get the blowers ported or buy bigger ones for them. The new ones have twin turbos from the factory, but they need them because they are v6. They are a completley different engine than the ecoboost and are built just for the ford gt
