3x races head-to-head and data for 1/4 mile times. Win a dream car and £50,000 cash with BOTB: bit.ly/Win-Your-Dream-Car-Plu...
It's Shmeemobile drag race time with two supercars against one another with the McLaren 675LT Spider and Ford GT! Both cars are of similar weight, with about the same amount of power, and on paper quite hard to tell them apart with both claiming 10.8 seconds for the 1/4 mile sprint.
The McLaren 675LT Spider has a 3.8l TT V8 with 675hp and 700Nm, against the Ford GT with a 3.5l TT V6 making 656hp and 746Nm, with both cars weighing approximately 1,350kg, having 7 speed DCT gearboxes, and sending all of the power to the rear wheels with a launch control mode for maximum performance.
With three races head to head, joined by Christian from BOTB to pilot the 675LT Spider while I take the wheel of the Ford GT, let's see how they actually shape up... prepare to be surprised!
With BOTB, you can choose from almost 200 different cars to play for including supercars and plenty of performance cars. Tickets start at just 45p and there's also the option to add £50,000 cash to your prize! Enter before midnight on Sunday for a chance to be their big Tuesday winner!
I’ve been supporting BOTB for many years and have met many of their 600+ winners myself. Big thanks to BOTB for sponsoring this video!

Ford really came through with the design of the GT. The car, for me, is one of the best looking available no matter the year. It's up there with the Chiron, the Mura, Aventador, La Ferrari, and a short list of others. 👍✌

@@rockandroll4689 right, like they seriously came up with, and designed it in a basement, after hours when everyone else went home, in only a few days. Only true part is, in the age of Autocad and 3D printing, anything can be built in a day. The only cars that had these design cues were the aforementioned nsx and Nissan 2020. Ford seemingly came up with their own fusion of the two, which has nothing to do with the 40 or GT prior to it.
Why do I say this? Because Ford has been known to take shortcuts in the past using Ferrari specifically for technology jumps. The last Ford GT was a reversed engineered Ferrari 360 Modena. Bet you didn't even know that.

@@GH-fh7pn brake horse power (BHP) is horse power at the wheels. That's the only figure that actually matters. Horse power on the other hand is what's measured at the crank. The crank shaft is one of many components that help turn the engine, but arguably one of the most important. Let's say you get 700 hp at the crank, that then has to go through the pistons, gearbox, drive shaft, axels, and a few other parts but you get the idea. By the time it's reached the wheels, you've lost some Horse power and you've got your BHP figure. You'd probably be closer to 660hp at the wheels if you're getting 700 at the crank. This is not in relation to either car, just rough figures to give you an idea on how it works
