ROUGH Amazon Jungle Trip: Going deep into the Amazon, an 8 hour boat ride from Iquitos, Peru.

We're heading deep into the Amazon Jungle in Peru, far away from the usual tourist crowds. Our adventure starts with a bus ride from Iquitos to Nauta, then a boat ride to Requena, Peru and another 4 hour boat ride to our Amazon Jungle accommodation. The place we stayed was not at all what we expected: it was run down, dirty, and a bit dangerous.
But we saw so many amazing animals like squirrel monkeys, toucans, saki monkeys, pink river dolphins, sloths, iguanas, green king fishers, adorable tamarin monkeys, black cara cara birds, majestic herons, titi monkeys, the strange looking hoatzin bird, coatis, stick bug, tiny bats, gray river dolphins, Caymans, snakes, and red uacari monkeys, that made the long travel time into the Amazon worthwhile!
