- I finally finished painting the MA40 Nerf Blaster and couldn’t be more happy with the outcome. Let me know what you guys think and feel free to ask questions. I might be slowing down with content and uploads because I just can't keep up financially with all these future builds I want to do but I’ll try and throw in some smaller builds whenever I can. I appreciate the feedback and hope to do more videos soon.

Awesome video! If I paint one in the future I would give it the yellow stripe in the front like the halo reach assault rifle.

Funny how similar it came out to mine.
I mean there’s only one MA40 default skin ain’t there? Lol! I later updated mine to have a yellow stripe like how it is in the final version of the game.

But What are the parts that I must sand, bro?
Sand all of it with a 180 grit pad. The plastic is too smooth and there’s like a film on the plastic from manufacturing and won’t hold paint well. Just have some patience and take your time, it’ll be well worth it

Do you remember what the dark gray paint is called that you used and what company made it?
I dont remember exactly what the name was but I do know it’s a matte rustoleum primer + paint, the two in one can. I’m sure you could find a similar dark gray
That ammo counter can you print me one if I pay for it? Yours came out better than everyone I've seen
What paints do you use? And would it be best to sand/primer it before painting? Thanks
I used rustoleum for primer and base coats then I used acrylics for the black wash/ weathering. I dont believe I sanded the surface on mine but do make sure it’s cleaned with like an alcohol wipe or something before you prime. Then I used a matte clear coat.

@@DiamondxCyborg oh shoot, I thought this was a different video you commented on, I apologize. Same paint process but I DID sand the entire thing thoroughly. Still the same rustoleum primer and base coat but for the metallic look I dry brushed model master silver and model master graphite. Black acrylics for a weathered black wash and preferably a matte clear coat of rustoleum.

It’s a liquid paint. I used barely any paint on the brush and pretty much dust it on
@@migilvigil thank you. may i ask you about black brush ?so you mix black acrylic with water, thats it ? i would like To do the same paint job if i can, cause yours looks amazing. by the way, congratulations for your halo helmet work, its awsome !!
@@tonyejay385 yep that’s basically what I did. Just a little bit of water and black acrylic paint. Be careful because it’s very easy to go way too far with both. Once the black paint dries, depending on which kind you used, it’ll appear lighter but just know that if you decide to clear coat it it’ll enhance your colors and make them more saturated so the black will appear even darker.
