I graduated from barber school last year and my instructor who was black Mr Davis he refused to teach me after he saw I really had skills and never ever cut before I told him to his face that I was going to learn anyway my combs were stolen my guards were stolen while being locked up..I took my master exam and failed I believe Mr Davis failed me he was one of the people who pass you anyways my point is this I love cutting and I want to be one of the best I have only one person that shows he cares a barber I went to for my internship..this really help me I know how to cut from my head I just need to learn what guards yo use to make the cut once I learn that I will be on my way ..I will be watching you more often because this is my destiny and I am 49 ... 💯

Great tip, we need to work better to make our job easier not harder. That was a tip an old barber gave me years ago when I got started doing hair. I’m a cosmetologist, but I went to work at a Barber shop. So I learned from a bunch of old guys. And boy did they know how to cut. That was the best thing I ever did. Cuz I can do fades , flat tops and all.

Great video, but a couple questions. The technique you demonstrated is only if cutting a customer's hair, correct? I watched your self cutting fade video and the position of your hand appears to be different. Also should the hand you hold the clippers in be your dominant hand or is it dependent on what side the clipper lever is on, meaning if the lever is on the left side of the clippers, hold it with your right hand so your thumb can operate the lever easily and then vice versa? Thanks.

I got the Kemei 1986* Pro and they’re pretty good for the price , but it would be better to invest into a Silver FX , they’re $129 on Amazon which is much cheaper than it was originally
