- After being in development for nearly six years, Royal Enfield has finally taken the wraps off of the Himalayan 450 and we finally got to ride it, in the Himalayas. The bike gets an all-new, thoroughly modern liquid-cooled engine that now makes 39.5bhp and 40Nm, making it significantly more powerful than the Himalayan 411. The chassis setup is also all-new with a new twin-spar frame, Showa-sourced USD forks and monoshock with 200mm of wheel travel at both ends. Even the ground clearance has gone up to 230mm now. Apart from that you also get other modern elements like a colour-TFT screen with a full Google Maps view, phone pairing functionality, LED lighting, a user-adjustable seat and a lot more. Is this bike just a step up on the spec sheet or does it translate to the real world as well? And more importantly, does it retain the same friendly nature that made the Himalayan 411 so special? Karan Ramgopal answers all these questions in the first ride review of the all-new Himalayan 450.

With how modern it has gotten, would you pick the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 over the KTM 390 Adventure?
I think I would go for Himalayan over KTM.
It depends on how long we have to wait for the new Himalayan to be available in the Philippines, and then the price. Any information from Royal Enfield when they are going to release information about AVAILABILITY in other countries????
I would consider the Himalayan over the ktm
100% I’ll take the 452. the 390 isn’t a proper off road bike (travel, ergos and high revving road engine - the Sherpa engine in this has been designed for the application. The 390 engine is a re purposed road engine. You’re slipping the clutch a lot when crawling at low speed) I’ve owned a 390 and it’s totally overrated as an ADV bike. It’s a road GT bike. That’s it.
guys if you can get q second hand bullet 500, no better
Such a lovely color combo black with golden accents❤
Happy to see an Indian player rocking in global market... Playing tough with Harley's in the lower capacity segment.... They have proven the worthiness in quality and cost outpacing other global players...
Such a greatly presented review!
Glad you liked it!
Such a good video! 🔥
Thanks so much!!
Every word is precise to the point.
Thanks!
Go Karan!
Woot woot!
I am planning to buy one. Is it feasible for Mumbai city traffic roads?
Really loved your review man ♥️
We hope you gave it a like and a share!
Appreciate it!❤

Sir when CRF 300L releasing in india ?
Crf is far more capable than HIMALAYAN 450. how much more we have to wait?
KTM 390 Adventure, Triumph Scrambler 400 X, Benelli BJ 400J, Honda CRF300L
Beautiful bike!!! Do you think it is a beginner friendly as a first bike!? I am 1,82cm high with 100kg weight looking passing from maxi scooters to proper motorcycles. Thanx and regards from far away Serbia 🇷🇸✌️
Yes, it is a good step up from a smaller bike. It is a relatively easy bike to get to grips with
One of the best reviews out there.
Are these stock wheels made of aluminum or steel. ?
Steel. Tubless spoked wheels are ready but homologation for India is yet to come through.
@@karanramgopal1322 that i know butt heard that these stock rims are tubed but they are not steel they are of aluminum from Excel !
Rims made from aluminium for higher variants. And tubeless also optional ❤
Will 450scram come???
Would be interesting to see one.
Yes. It's confirmed. Expected to launch next year before March....
Service and spares by RE 🥶🥶🥶🥶
We can see how hard you tried to get the bike on the stand😅
Waiting for CF Moto 450 MT VS HIMALAYAN 450
Let's wait for it to launch in India.
What is your height
Five foot, ten inches.
How is the buikd quality ? RE is notorious in giving poor quality products and parts. Well atlease for the Indian market.
The new Himalayan looks well-made but we shall tell you more when we get it for a longer duration.

@@evoIndia done😍
Really getting sick and tired at these manufacturers playing 'I got a secret' with country availability (Philippines in my case) and pricing. Give me a REASON to WAIT or I'm gonna Buy Another Bike.
Royal Enfield might just be working on a plan to bring their motorcycles to other countries. However, they would have to also have the motorcycles homologated to each country's laws, and that can be a time consuming process.
If it’s worth waiting for, wait for it.
@@martyn_g that has a limit. How many Weeks? or is it Months? or is it Years? or is it NEVER to be released locally???
WHY THE SECRET and WHY DEFEND IT???
@@LifeMyWay007If they give answers there will be thousand questions more. Better to have people wait
@@vishnumohannair8506 ok, so I am NOT waiting an unknown/unlimited time. Lost a buyer with cash in my pocket who is buying something else now.
tubeless TYRES! 😐
They have it ready. But waiting on homologation.
This guy just showed us while giving throttle that this bike is a machine with VIBRATION... that's RE for you never working on refined engines. 6:18 time Look at that mud just falling off...
That's just loose sand and muck. Nothing to do with vibrations of the bike. As far as the vibrations go, Karan has explained about the damping in the video.
😂😂😂 Great assumption👏👏👏
