    Great video! I love the bikes riding side by side!! big difference is the position of the pegs. The scrambler is more of a sport bike feel with your legs towards the rear. Himalayan is very comfortable with your legs virtually straight down. The scrambler has more performance And definitely street bias. However, The Himalayan is dripping with personality

    Last year, I was in manali for two weeks and ran both bikes for around 400km each so I will say on the basis of that Scram is way better in maneuvering and have a better acceleration then himalayan.

    The smaller, wider tire on the Scram will do better in loose dirt and mud. I've been waiting for them to make a stripped down version of the Himalayan. I like the himi but don't really want that adv look.

    • @max-zv7sf
      @max-zv7sf Před rokem +5

      I own a Himalayan, i have never used a Scram. From what i understand the seat height is shorter on the Scram by less of an inch, so probably it's not much of a factor. The biggest difference is the 21in front wheel on the Hima vs the 19in wheel on the Scram.
      In my experience riding the Himalayan in developed city is not awesome, but for a bad streets it's pretty good. To corner you need to really push the handlebar and the trajectory doesn't just automatically set in as it does with scooters. The handlebars are a little wide for lane filtering at stoplights.
      It's a bit like riding and overweight dirt bike, it will go absolutely everywhere, it will eat potholes, unpaved streets will mean nothing, it will ride over curbs, drains, lesser riders... So it's not tremendously fun in a big developed city, but if you live in a city with poor roads, the Himalayan will go absolutely everywhere, while still be a little overwheight.
      If you want an absolute city slayer look for CVT scooters, supermotos or even dual sports. The Scram will be more manouverable than the Himalayan in the city, but still retain much of the weight, which is the real problem in tight quarters. If you like the look of the Himalayan better and can use a slightly higher seat height, it will work about as well as the Scram. But still these aren't awesome city bikes, they have other strenghts.

    I bought the 2023 scram 411 for all the reasons mentioned it’s a great bike with a Harris engineering designed frame. Fuel consumption is brilliant comfort is fantastic. Disconnect the rear abs sensor buy a 21” spare front wheel and it’s as good off road as the Himalayan is. All bits on the bs6 appear to be interchangeable. I fitted a touring rack and soft bag that fits neatly on the rack. I wonder what the upcoming Himalayan 450 will be like with double the bhp and a 6 speed gearbox will be bland and loose the charm that the air cooled 411 has?

      @@BruceLee-go2vy I test rode both yesterday at one of the showrooms in my city. I preferred the Scram for its more nimble and lively character. The changes really do help improve the city riding experience. But yes, the Himalayan would edge out over the Scram off road. It really is a matter of taste. Oh, and I have two Dukes so I am used to a slightly stiffer suspension and sometimes prefer it. The front end definitely feels a little more surefooted in tight maneuvers.

      @twowheeledparadox Před 2 lety

      @@BruceLee-go2vy You can find difficulty in finding parts for the Continental GT 535 but not the Himalayan. The GT sold poorly in India and was in production for a short while. The Himalayan on the other hand has done well and they have just launched the Scram so you won't have to worry about parts availability. And yes, the Himalayan suspension has its own advantage, especially off road. My head says I should get a Himalayan while my heart says Scram. It is a matter of personal taste.

      I can tell you that the frame of the Himalayan, and by extension, the Scram is very comfortable for a full size adult. But if i were taller the seat length would be too short.

      I wanted the Himalayan but now I want the Scram. The riding experience is different enough for some people.

    Scram is rip off for what all it doesn't offer. Techo, Navi, switchable abs, windshield... The list is for approx 35k and it gives discount of only 10k

      Not as smooth as the Scram 411. I test rode them both yesterday. Really surprising since the Yezdi has a short stroke engine.

    Friends, trust me Dominar 400 is better than these 2 motorcycles. Very comfortable and very fast. Top speed is above 160. Better cornering and looks MACHO....Delhi on Road price around 2.6.....
