It's all starts from the Engine name
SHERPA - a member of a Himalayan people living on the borders of Nepal and Tibet, renowned for their skill in mountaineering.
Yes for sure. That's such a cool name though.
just branding nonsense.
It's a nepalis Himalayan people name
Definitely a nice tribute to the hardwork they do up there...monster lungs theyve got
It looks to me like PowerDrift is going to make a huge comeback ! What a video Varun 'Baron' Painter ! Go go Himalayan !
Boom boom pow!
2.75L is definitely a worthy price tag for this Himalayan. As both Adv390X and Himalayan are now almost same in terms of performance and price, its interesting to see what one chooses !!
I already chose adv390x. Should've waited.
I would rather buy ktm than this because of no taillights
@@xghost4469besides, experience has taught me that I shouldn't get first Gen of any bike. Wait atleast a couple of months till they sort out the issues
@@xghost4469your buying decision is based on a tail light?
@@xghost4469you choose ktm because of the taillight! Boss you are unique
HIMALAYAN and video is visually stunning the way of explaining specs and background scores are amazing kudos to the PD team !!!!!
Thanks a ton :)
A wonderful video, what an amazing blend of shots, cinematography and my god, the music and beat synced transitions!
For the bike, i think i’ll wait for the tubeless spokes to come in, and hot swap once they’re here. Looks quite promising so far, waiting on a test drive now!!
Thank you, thank you and thank you! Like VP said, the tubeless spokes will take a while.
Those shiny black colour bike shot , looks soo cool,🔥
Great reviews by the way, PD army👍
Thank you :)
Saw many reviews on many Indian channels, this one is top notch. Well done PD👏. Now, I'm waiting for BikeWorld's Chris Northover's take.
Oh yes! Thank you Ashwin :)
Finally a video worthy of the Powerdrift i knew earlier. Amazing cinematography
Glad you liked it! More to come :)
This is what we want , the cinematography is on point, we want videos like this
We hear you :)
If this bike worth less than 4 lakh on road, I still think its still a decent price.. the editing, narration, top notch again from PD 💗
Thank you incredible username :P
Great video as always Mr.Painter and PD. Looking forward to seeing this in person.
Yaaay! Oggy in the house :D
HIMALAYAN deserves this kind of Vireo!!❤ 🎉❤ Definitely on my list along with 390ADV.....! Waiting for sea level performance n review.....😊
Great video PD....keep going!!❤
Thank you Rishabh.
PD review quality is back!! Loved this review.... Side bar why does Varun bhaiya look so good in the Himalayan backdrop ? 👀👀.
Cheers team PD .
Thank you Sushanth! Its the bike, the backdrop, the landscape and everything in between :)
Great video as always. I agree with Varun, that this bike needs cruise control for those super long rides, specially with 17 litres of fuel tank and more than 500 km of range.
Bingo! BTW, tank range is about 450kms.
More than the bike i loved the background score of the video..Simply Lit ❤❤..Whoever it is ..he deserves a healthy raise on his paycheck..not many out there who can do this and that too this well..🎉👌
Thank you :)
Keep the bike aside for a moment and let's appreciate the video. OMG!! It just gives goosebumps watching the video. PD team you're amazing.
Thank you so much.
the powerdrift style review we all were waiting for!🔥
More to come!
This video credit goes to editor but well done, its always team work, as far as RE they are unbelievable and we as a consumer heaving more better options.
We say team work makes the dream work.
Out of all the great, Himalayan 450 reviews, this one is the most epic, dramatic, scenic and cinematic 👍🙂
Thank you and thank you! :D
1:48 this shot is absolutely gorgeous best videography i've ever seen on a automotive review channel till date
:D :D
What a shots, next level review ❤️🔥 9:41, Great Review loved it !!
Thank you Atharv!
Planning to pre book, The most anticipated bike in 450 , love the spec design and I sure it will the best in performance, Himalayan the GOAT 🐐
Please take a test spin too!
Bro don't take first batch it's RE after all😢
@@saikatdas1139 Noted bro
@@powerdriftofficial Sure 😊
The powerdrift which we all are missing from years..with the himalyan our powerdrift is back..❤
Oh yes!
What a great review..even though the bike might have some shortcomings based upon the observations.
The way it is presented in the video makes it more desirable.
Keep up the great work team PD👍🏼
Glad you liked it
PD army... great video ❤... lovely sound and edit....kuddood job VP...🎉
Thank you for the love! Glad you enjoyed it.
I will surely pick one up only once the tubeless spoke wheels are made available.
Now I am thinking what can RE do in the next version. This has everything one would need. Maybe add adjustable suspension (maybe will be offered as an accessory in this model itslef), Traction Control, QuickShifter and even these are really not that important.
Anyone reading this, feel free to chime in with your thoughts on what RE could add in the next version. Functional stuff and not cosmetic like new paint scheme etc.
Well, RE doesn't have the history of adding a lot of features once the bikes are launched. So I am a bit sceptical. They took 5 years for adding alloys on 650s and other bikes in the portfolio haven't seen anything substantial either. So this is what you will get for the next 5 years.
RE will quickly move on to the next launch now.
Or mayvbe you pick it up and add the tubeless rims later?
@@powerdriftofficialthat comes with a cost ... I think it'll be too much to buy basic spoke wheels and then opt for tubeless ..
This video is far better and professionally made than the official RE :). From script to the perfect background number and even editing you guys nailed it.
Thank you Prasanna! Hope you have subscribed to our channel.
The OG pd video is here ❤❤❤ top visuals 🔥🔥🔥🎉
BRO THE EDIT IS SO AMAZING
Great review! Lots of good information. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Its the poor man's GS. Tremendous job by RE 👏👏
Lets take that as a compliment to the brand, we guess?
@@powerdriftofficial RE raising the bar🔥. Himalayan is going to be the benchmark for single cylinder adventure bikes all over the world. And the screen mirroring 👏👌. I think the militaries all over the world should add Himalayan to their fleet.
Good work PD Team 👏🏻. Waiting for its test drive 😍🤩
Yaaay! :D
Loving the quality of your videos, as always.
:D
Stunning video from Team PD as always.. Presenter Painter hope to see you later soon...
The Best Aniruddh award goes to the team who recorded BGM for this video and many more..
One suggestion would be to mention the team members who contributed to the video so that we can appreciate their dedication.....loads of love and gratitude.. shubh deepawali team PD... Keep up the good work..
Oh yes! :D Thank you for all the love.
@@powerdriftofficial the production quality of this video is top notch but the bgm is overpowering the voice
Can u tell ,e the name of the song u used in the vedio
Lets appreciate Power Drift for the video awesomely shooted man🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Souvik :)
I think it's superb and I was going to try it out. The only small regret (just to make a comment) is that for a 450cm3 I'd have liked it to do 200kg max fully loaded.
Its close no?
Fantastic video by PD , looks like the bike was made for Varun
Absolutely!
Love to watch powerdrift videos
Thank you :D Always welcome here
PD great video great sound great review after long time impressed 😊
Thank you Deepak :)
Since RE motorcycles have been torque monsters for quite some time now, I don't think city commute is going to be much of a hassle. The new Himalayan might just deliver a stupendous amount of low end torque but then again that's wishful thinking. So, fingers crossed. Let's wait and watch!!
But but but, this is not a long stroke engine.
Varun did this time... Awesome video.
Keep it up.
The team appreciates this :)
Wow.. what a video!! Well done team !
One thing I got from it.. Manali visit toh banti hai.
The bike will be right at home in Pune with off roading roads as a built in feature of this city.
Manali is so beautiful, just looking like a waow!
Thank for the review Varun. Did it feel like the time you reviewed the Interceptor which was completely an RE we are not used to.
I think we are now used to seeing better products from the brand. Doesn't feel like a surprise anymore.
The Edit was of a class, kudos to you bro behind the screen...
The entire team appreciates this!
@@powerdriftofficial You Guys can also launch a full Auto Motive filmmaking course so neophytes like us can learn.
kudos to editor of this video, cinimatic review as always ...wow powerdrift

that dog shot was amazing at 13:12
Awesome video, you have done a great job with video 💥
Thank you so much 😁
Welcome varun painter hopefully we'll see you later more again
Oh yes. He will see you later.
POWER DRIFT gives vibe to a every product launch. all other review videos looks similar on YT. Just becoz EDIT,Cinematics, camera work.
Glad you love our videos.

These bikes are selling like hotcakes here in Australia ✌🏽 Great bike, let’s hope it is reliable🙏🏼
This is shot better than Sagar sir's video..keep rocking PD
Thank you :)
I am just glad that Varun got to test it instead of Shumi that super sport guy .
One like for Varun Painter.
⬇️⬇️
Well, Shumi has moved on to another publication. So VP all the way :)
@@powerdriftofficial Sounds like Varun became Prime Motorcycle Man in Power Drift .
👍👍
Go on Varun , Go and Conquer the Motorcycle World .
They can easily ask 3lacs for this. It is that good. What's your next move 390Adv and Tiger?
It is that good!
Lovely review from PD & Varun
Thank you Nagendra :)
As a Himalyan BS6 owner for 3years my honest thoughts would be that the fuel tank tooka a bit less masculine and the instrument cluster with a single round meter looks a bit less classy.Probably a TFT screen like the 290adv would have been a good option.
We are sure someone from the RE brand team is seeing this.
Finally 4k .... Thank God
Our aim is to get everything out in 4K going forward unless there's a content piece that is time sensitive.
so @Varun finally my prayers are answered aka the spoke tubeless wheels now plz do talk more on that and let them(RE) to bring it in 650 twins plz do talk more on it so that it becomes a reality in Indian market as everyone knows only alloy wheels 🙏
Yes. Royal Enfield is already working on it.
No need of another ad for Himalayan450.PD🔥done that job for RE..
Ad? We did mention where the motorcycle can be better. Good production and visuals does not mean an ad :)
Varun bhai. You are life of powerdrift . It's the effort of powerdrift team that can make any bike review look larger than life 😁 . But RE definitely messed up the tail section by omitting the taillight altogether . Old Himalayan looked proportionate from every angle
The team appreciates this comment.
FYI, like VP mentioned, there's a functional bit to that form. Plus, more wheel articulation.
Who came back!!??? The video quality is on par with the old pd videos
Yaaayy! Comment of the day :D

Great video once again after a long time and that music is addictive man…
Glad you enjoyed it!
Bruh the taking is a whole next level ❤
Loved to see old PD vibes back 🎉. Just a small feedback, the bgm is a bit louder than the voice in some parts.
Thank you for letting us know. We will make things better going forward.
That's a cool cinematography ❤
Pleasure to eyes and bgm blends with it ..
Good one pd team.. highly appreciated 💯
Thank you!
From the beginning of their journey, their editors and sound engineers are best in the industry.
So far the motorcycle seems impressive. I would like to know how much wattage the alternator provides? Specifically how much extra watts are available for heated grips and heated liner. Also, a Garmin GPS.
Thank you.
We will cover all of this in our full review. Interesting set of questions.
If it's well priced and I end up buying it, I'll probably slap in the old Duke stop lights, like the ones from gen 1. And rewire the existing stop+indicator lights to be just indicators.
This is probably, bcz I feel, in foggy condition, having a larger brake light, placed a bit higher, will help with keeping you visible for vehicles behind you.
This is still a thought though, which popped in my mind seeing the empty slot shape between the rear fender and the indicator mount flap
Whooaa whooaa whoaaa
It's starts from the Engine name

Exactly why that end chapter is called epic montage :D
The new design with the Gold And Black colour, it's just amazing 🔥🔥

Great video guys. PD rocks as always. Suggesting "again " Music volume is too loud. Atleast when varun is talking, reduce the music volume a bit guys. Cheers 🥂
Apologies! We realised the audio felt okay from our end.
@@powerdriftofficial no worries. ✌️
hows the vibrations and engine refinement compared to triumph scram400..? for a highway touring which one you would prefer..?
Definitely more refined at 100-110 than the Scrambler.
Looks great
It does!
Loved watching the hollywood movie.
I have a q:
The 805mm seat is an optional accessory or can be chosen instead of the 825mm seat?
Oh yeah! Its an accessory. Cannot be chosen.
I think Sherpa engine carries its name from Mighty Nepalese Himalayan Sherpa😍
Ofcourse! The might of the Sherpa.
At What speed it starts heavy vibrations? how's the feel of vibrations..........can it be ignored?, .......... speed and rpm of vibrations?
Thanks for a great video.
Any idea what the service interval is?
Phil from Isle of Man
Hello Phil! If we remember it correctly, 1 year or 10000kms but allow us to get back to you with a confirmed number.
@@powerdriftofficial great thank you.
Tubeless rims are going to be expensive since they will be imported. I am surprised we don't have any OEM in India to localise the sourcing of this vital component. RE had lot of time in during development of this bike to sort this out but looks like they couldn't.
For now, the search continues. Hopefully, the certification is sorted soon and we have tubeless spoked rims as a variant in the near future.
How are these CEAT tyres? It's the first time they have launched a Steel Braided dual compound tyre, I'm not a fan of CEAT , but these look promising
VP wasn’t too happy with the performance.
Video 100
Sound 100
Varun's riding skills 3000
Comment of the day!
great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Was always longing for a better designed front fascia... Like the European or Sweden bikes with fairing and creases.... Although functionally round doom does work, but a better design could have been great....
yeah. doesn't look quite unique no?
I hope RE launch a Meteor 450 version or a Scram 450 with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
Scram 450 looks more likely. But tubeless is something that we cannot expect as of now. The Hunter 450 if launched should have tubeless.
r e must bring spoke tubeless rims atleast as an option...by d way,i just llloved d video❤❤
Once the certification is sorted, the tubeless spoked rims will be here.
Quality video!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
How is the weight on the front ? Does it feel front heavy like Dominar or is it just heavy overall ?
Heavy down low. You will feel the weight when you take it off the side stand.
Anything on stalling issues mentioned in yammienoob video ?
We didn't face any of those issues with our test motorcycle.
Thanks for review. How long from 0 - 100 km/h ?
10.9-11 second
No official timing from the brand. But its not a 0-100 motorcycle anyway.
Excellent motorcycle for a price conscious person. Whats the name of the bgm by the way
Unfortunately, these are private tracks and cannot be shared.
Good video sir
Thank you bud!
I am waiting for Xpulse 400 so that I could compare between both these offroad tourers....
The XPulse launch will happen next year.
