Why not put the taller windscreen and better seat on the standard model already? Also, they have another set of mirrors to replace the jittery ones that come as standard. All these accessories cost far more than what they are actually worth. The fact that RE has released the same as soon as they launched the bike only shows that RE deliberately did not change these because they want to make money at the cost of customer discomfort. This is a very cunning strategy from RE. Already the bike costs a bomb and RE wants us to shell out more for upgrades that should ideally be standard fitment. Very disappointed.
As a motorcycle enthusiast, looking at the current market offerings i am very happy with the options available to choose from. And by god, all the manufacturers have done their best and delivered also. I just hope big brands like harley-hero, bmw (needs to bring in a new face for g310gs), Triumph -bajaj, Aprilia should bring good products in adv segment.
Cheers to himalayan team, for bringing out such an awesome product.
Ride safe and god speed.
P.s. might have to sell my softail heritage 114 and switch segment to start a new adventure with the new Himalayan 😂

Again an awesome review 😊😊❤. Two take aways:
1) This bike is definitely not for someone who can afford only one bike which can fullfill both city and touring needs. This is not city machine considering low end torque and weight to maneuver.
2). The 'inconsistency' which you mentioned is something a very scary thing. So then it's pure luck to get a 0 issue bike from factory 😊. Shocking to here that earlier bike you rode, had different power figures.
They do need to work on consistency. The other bike felt bogged down

It all comes down to personal preferences, all motorcycles in this segment are good products from respective brands, given that a new generation 390adv is coming and hero xpulse 400, smart decision will be to wait, personally I absolutely loved the Himalayan and that intake growl is something I haven't experienced on any bike yet, in love with that sound.
The bikes you mentioned are still a while Away

I rode 4 different H450's from 4 different dealerships and I've never been more confused. One bike felt refined and relaxed at 100 kmph.. while the other felt like it was asking me to calm down. One felt buzzy at city speeds too.. while the other felt compartively refined at almost all speeds. Out of the 4, two had their first service done, and there wasnt much queue before I rode them. However one common issue across 3 of them was tappet noises (or mechanical clutter). While the bike is impressive no doubt... but these things should be dealt with more caution..
They need to work on consistency
Exciting stuff, good to hear the Himalayan holds up! I’m seriously considering buying one to tour with my wife but alternatively the RS457 also is in my sights as I love riding quick and having some cornering fun. Tough choices 😂
Tell me about it! Am in the same dilemma
Hi Sagar, Bravo for the stylish presentation!!..Just need to know if himmy ll be a good choice if it choosen for 70% cite commute n rest for off roading .your personal suggestions plz

Great camparo Sagar, as per my tests found Ktm Adv Rally to be much better than Himi as an allrounder bike, aptly justifying higher pricing, therefore bought the KTM, each ride is a joy esp with ability to tinker with different suspension settings and engine maps via Fuelx pro!
Good on you

Being a new owner of one, as my very First RE, I think it's safe to say it was worth the wait... However... Some issues... Don't know if you experienced it "yet", but try leaving the handlebars, notice how it sways to right drastically... and it get's worse over time.. Been a month since it got it, but now I feel the bike wanting to sway to the right and I feel more effort on my right hand to keep it straight. As per the service center, they said it is an alignment issue which should be fixed by any vendor who does wheel alignment... but still waiting for that. And the Cone Set issue, which you already addressed, which was fixed by the service executives very quickly I might ad right after pointing it out.
The cone set comes up after every fast offroad ride
I was talking about the bike steering towards the right, if you leave the handle bars or hold them loosely. That I think is not an issue with the cone set, I got my cone set fixed from RE itself, but their service executive also confirmed that the bike pulls to the right. So that may be an alignment problem or the forks not being perfectly parallel to each other. FYI, I haven't done any hardcore off-roading on it(YET), still testing out it's capabilities and build with regular rides, I am about to go on a slightly long tour, from Hyderabad to Bangalore this Friday though, so I'll see how it holds up

Isn't Yezdi Adventure a comparo for Himalayan 452 ?
Needs an update to fight the new Himalayan
Do the vibration on himalayan452 is more annoying after crossing 100kmph to 150kmph or just lite buzz which is negligable?
And i am thinking to get 452 on may will RE people work on those issues and resolve before that time period ?
As I said they are not as pronounced in the higher revs in higher gears. So cruising at 130 no problem unless you get a vibey bike from RE
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial can you please ans my 2nd question
@@gowrishs5778I don't work for RE man. I don't know when they will solve the issues I have mentioned
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial okay thanks

Ditto on the consistency with RE 450 and the engine vibrations. Issues are already coming in with harsh engine and valve noises on certain batches.. Bummer!
Thanks for the review. I test rode the Himalayan recently and was blown away by how supple and forgiving the suspension is. Can I expect a similar experience on the Adventure 390?
It comes close but looses out on the suspension travel
@@SagarSheldekarOfficialisnt it better, with power and electronics aids?
I had an interesting conversation with an RE employee while on trip to the western ghats in December 23. What this gentleman said was that RE is trying to get into Dakar with an iteration of this engine. Although I don’t have doubts that this guy was working for RE, I do have doubts about his claim but I am hopeful of the claim nonetheless 😛
Great video as always Sarge loved it, I bought the first gen Himalayan when I was Pune and our weekends were spent exploring places around Pune. Upgraded an year ago to an 850 GSA but I tend to enjoy the Himalayan more, until I reach a Highway😐
This himi is much better on the highways too
Great video sir, enjoyed it a lot sir. They should have given traction control & cruise control. The upcoming adv 390 will give it tough competition.
True. Good chance it will come on the next iteration
Amazing review also, you are a very talented rider , such amazing off road skills on top of your track skills a rare combination, good review as always , i have been following the new Himalayan since its release , i do believe it will give the bigger advs a run for their money , specially in India

QQ - Is RE making a twin cylinder version of himalayan ?
Desperately waiting for himalayan twin. The current one sucks really bad in bumper2bumper traffic.
I was planning to sell my bs6 classic for himalayan 450 but it ain’t gonna happen, hence waiting for himalayan twin.

I don't think the come set issue is a deal breaker
Sarge i may have a few questions regarding the himalayan 450 as im planning to upgrade from my 2010 Electra. But ill ask them after the video gets published.
Sounds good. See you at 7
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial
Great video sarge few of my queries are
1. How is the vibration at speeds of 60-90 kmph because that's the speed I maintain during my commute
2. How is the rear seat comfort for light weight pillion?
3. Did you face any false neutral issues in between gear shifts?
4. If you had to pick between himalayan 450 and gt 650 which one would you go for? (I know both are completely different categories but still)
Sarge, if you can, would you recommend this to someone moving to this from a scooter, lets say a sr150. How difficult will it be for a beginner to learn on this?
I really am torn apart on which bike to opt for touring, and this stands out to be the best option with the pricing and everything.
I think the Scrambler 400 is a better bet for you because it is lighter and more compact

Sagar as always hit the bulls eye with lack of low end torque. I did an extensive test ride and though I loved the new engine I dearly missed low end torque. I’m wondering why RE would give it up as it’s their trade mark and on off road terrain you need it a lot.
It's always a delicate balance with singles when you are chasing more power
I am riding Classic 350 from last 11 years, I want to change it, 60% city ride head to head traffic and 40% Highways and mountains. Shortlisted Duke 390 Adventure X and Himalayan 450. Too much confused. Please suggest.

I think the Scrambler 400 is your best bet
