- In this video, we're going to show you three simple ways to tie your belt. No matter what type of belt you're using, these tips will help you get it tied properly.
This video will show you how to tie your or your child's belt for Taekwondo and even jujitsu.
I will take you through the steps you need to take when tying the belt and ensuring it is done the traditional way and also a way to be more secure.

In the evenings I train in martial arts and every day is different, from Taekwondo, Kickboxing and even Jujitsu. Watch as I win and lose and push myself physically and mentally.
Along with those I live Van life and have been for the last year and a half, stay tuned as I face problems with living out of a van and the upsides to being able to travel and live on the road.
This was the only video that helped me. I watched a lot, even in Spanish, but with this method, the knot and the measurements of both ends turn out perfect for me. Excellent video, everything is very clear :D

As a white belt it's intimadating for me doing stuff like learning how to tie your belt, learning what each movement is, i don't speak a word of japanese so learning karate isn't just learning a martial art its learning a foreign language as well... super scary for someone who's never done anything like this before but i am loving it.
Taking the first step into an art and culture is definitely scary and freaked me out when I started TKD but looking back it’s where I defined my community and how I was able to grow as an individual!

Yeah it’s a neat way to keep it together for longer
Can this same way be done with the shorter color belts? Obviously the color belts won’t have the double wrap, but can you still get that same “fortune cookie” look with the knot?
Traditionally it is two wraps around the waist, so you may have to ask for a longer belt but it’s the same technique to get the fortune cookie knot with just one wrap around! :)
@@ckhogan6389 thank you so much for your response! Must just be the belts that my Master has for us. The color belts are just a single wrap belt, but the black belts in class have longer double wrap belts. I did try it out a bit ago with my belt and looks good! Great video! 😁

How to measure how long the belt should be: your height + 1 meter (3.3 ft or roughly 40 inches). If you are skinny as I am, you can trim a bit off the size or if you find it's too short to tie, increase the size.
My belt was given by my coach he didnt get the chance to measure my waist and now i have a black belt that is 1 wrap and a long tail
