  • In today's video, I'm diving into a critical issue many employees are facing right now: the return to office mandates and the potential job risks associated with it. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we all adapted to working from home, but now some companies are forcing employees back into the office. In fact, they're linking variable pay to office attendance and even threatening job termination for those who don't comply.
I share real stories of individuals caught in this tough situation, including one who made a hasty decision to quit without another job lined up. I discuss why it's crucial to think strategically and not make impulsive decisions when faced with such demands. I'll also provide tips on how to navigate these challenging times, how to buy time, and how to look for other opportunities without jeopardizing your current job.
If you're currently working remotely and facing pressure to return to the office, this video is for you. I hope my insights and advice will help you make more informed decisions.

Salute to this guy. Don't be afraid of these companies notorious practices. No need to fear, just start prepairing. You have 3 months of notice + 2, 3 months of resume gap is nothing

Is this trend healthy? We have a scenario that there isn't place to sit and work, all the team is from a different location, and we have to sit in cafeteria or lawns, etc. What do companies achieve here?

But why companies are SOOO SOOO bureaucratic !!! What is the purpose of forcing employees . Face to face Interaction/ Team collaboration / socializing all these are irritating ridiculous points. Ultimate vision here !! Deliverables should happen smoothly without any excuses . Travelling / Spending time in office our life will be exhausted. We should start adapting to new changes when we see significant progress. When there is a option to handle your work remotely ,then what is the purpose of brining back the employees to the office. Login security/ vpn connectivity / Client confidentiality all sensitive access can be monitored accordingly if that is the reason. If client approval is there then anything is possible.

IT companies are worst place to work in. They should focus more on AI because the top bosses are nothing less than robots and they should not hire humans as employees. Luckily I left this sector 10 years back without an offer. Today I work in a much better sector with much better pay with the flexibility to work from any city I want.

Ex CEO of TCS was laid off as he was not committing to improving margins. The old horse has been onboarded who is on cost cutting spree.
The salary hikes are committed on social media and happen only in the variable component and the variable salary is at the discretion of the management.
Many associates have actually had a salary cut ranging from 12-20% on CTC

The best thing I would advise people who have job or in bench is do not be afraid, have your resume and LinkedIn update and constantly up-skill yourself with relevant certifications or projects in your domain. No one in the company is your friend. And after a year or 18 months try to give a couple of interviews so that you’re not out of practice. Because at the end of the day your biggest skill is your ability to sell yourself to the highest bidder.

Actually I somewhat disagree with putting papers without offer. I myself had put paper before any offer bcz companies are not considering 3 month notice period. That was valid enough for me to quit and based on my skillset I was confident that within 3-4 months max will bag an offer. That's exactly what happened and i got multiple offers within 3 months. But it's a different scenario if your skillsets are not high in demand like mine (Data scientist) and in that case i completely agree with you.

typical interview for junior will have 50-60 questions, that can be easily notes by attending 6-7 interviews.
Just consider it as a semester exam with 6-7 papers with 10 questions each topics on -> front end, middle ware, back end, release process
By mugging up 50-60 questions, fresher can easily clear the interviews. So always be prepared.

Most of the mnc company have 3 months notice period. If we have 3 months notice period then other companies will not consider. If we are on notice period then we may get calls. Most of the companies always prefer immediate joiner.

Because if companies resort to layoffs then it will bring a bad name to the company, increased cost of layoff compensation, etc. So why not make things extremely difficult for employees that they quit themselves?

I know one interesting case. An employee is working from home at Delhi & the company is in Vadodara, Gujarat. Still after COVID continuing work as an exception. Reason is that as compared to the employee 's spouse earning 5 lakhs a month in Delhi, this employee is not bothered about increment or promotion since last three years in this comparatively low paying company. The head of department knows it is cheap to keep such an efficient person who is not bothered about increment or promotion just by allowing WFH.
