Last el niño a decade ago, the highest peak is 40. And March to May regular summer vacation for students. sucks when gov changes the school to follow the trend in international. The Philippines is tropical country, we don't have 4 seasons 😅.

Please explain that this is usually SUMMER VACATION (April-May) when students are usually not in school. But the past few years are different. You're making it seem like the temperatures are unusually high, but they're not

Heat index has reached 48C in some areas. It is unusually high.

@@ianhomerpura8937 this is always the hottest time of the year, but this is not usually when we have school. The fact that that was left out is crazy

@@ianhomerpura8937 Also, a 48 C heat index happens on a normal summer day in much of the US. This is the Philippines summer, so it's expected

@@davidmartin2706 problem is, because of the policy by the Department of Education to tie our school schedules with the rest of Southeast Asia, we shifted our summer vacation from April-May to June-July, with obvious results.

@@davidmartin2706 But it's been hotter. We have marble flooring and normally all our cats would lie down on the floor during summer to cool down, but not this year. The marble is warm. They've taken to hanging around the laundry room with the buckets of water.
