- Watch as I install this APEC 5 stage RO water system under my kitchen sink for clean drinking and cooking water. This water filter system is rated as one of the best water systems and it costs less than $200. It has 5 solid stars on Amazon.

Hi Chris thank you for your video! Do you mind what is the dimension of the 4 gallon tank width and height? Thank you in advance!
Can you hook up A-line to your ice maker on the refrigerator
Wow!! I want this System. I had a very rough new years eve (December 31st, 2022). I was arguing with my parent about fraudulent water filters in my country. I will refer them to buy this filter instead. Thank you, I'm looking forward to installing this filter with your video. If I succeed in convincing them to purchase this product.
The filter element of the filter is installed wrongly, 123 is the first one wrong! You have a look, thank you!
@@patrickz3181 literally came here to say the same thing hope he noticed this sooner then six months later on the filter change
I am a professional plumber of 32 years and my client bought this system for me to install. I watched your video about the instalation and I am impressed with your instructions. Thank you for taking the time to show us. We'll done and blessings from Israel.

You're welcome
I'm surprised how plumbers don't quickly pick this stuff up or feel comfortable around it. I was quoted by 2 plumbers very high numbers while they looked at it puzzled, instead I just did it myself

Because this isn’t necessarily plumbing lol.
Just installed the ROES 50 and the instructions that came with it were above average but watching this video kind of put a bow on it as far as being able to plow through it. Took about an hour and a half but did it methodically, took my time, and the system is terrific and worth the money. Going to send in a water sample to see how it improved our well water but it tastes excellent right out of the supplied faucet👍
Nice work, easy to follow, with great tips along the way. And hats off to you for completing an install in a small space (under a sink!) while recording a watchable video of the entire process.
You're welcome :) ...it was not easy
Perfect step-by-step, great instructions. Just got mine in. A little over 4 hours for a newb, but no drips. Perfectly installed.
He made a few mistakes
Nice! 👍
For anyone installing this …make sure u look inside the filter holders. There is a piece of paper inside each one
Not anymore. Only 1 paper in 1 filter holder.
Mine had some weird black crumbs, had to clean it out.
Mine had an ant in one of them . Think it’s ok to use ?
@Freedom-dq7tl Yeah it's still fine, just rinse the holders out.
I just install mines and I’m not getting water. Wonder if this is why 😂😂😂
Just installed! Was very apprehensive but watched this video and got it done. It did take me 2 and a half hours but I was double and triple checking everything!
He put the first stage filter on the third watch the video carefully
U R the freaking best!!!!!!! Thank you so much. You made this actually fun to install. No frustration at all with having you give such a great video. I hope they gave you the system. You certainly deserve it.
Thank you :) ... Unfortunately I had to buy it myself lol
thanks, I have the APEC RO-HI and your video is compatible with that as well. This is probably the same install for most of the APEC reverse osmosis systems.
My son ordered this system today. Viewing your excellent video has given me the confidence to tackle this install by myself. Thank you !
Your welcome
Thanks for posting watching a couple of vids before I start my install
I just want to thank you very much. I followed your video, entirely, for a complete video manual, step by step, on how to do it. Otherwise I would have been literally desperate. In reality we had a previous system which was outdated - so I had to find ways to integrate the previous plumbing solutions with this current APEC system (namely different size tubings of 3/8th and different valves already installed). After having studied your video and the older system, I concluded all I needed were adaptors 3/8 to 1/4 which I got on Amazon. From there it was 5 minutes thanks to your video. Pretty amazing - TRULY grateful, Fil
You're welcome!
I bought a Apec RO-HI system two days ago and watched your video multiple times along with the instructions to put it together. thanks for taking the time to make this great video
You're welcome
Each installation scenario is different, I ended up doing it wrong by attaching the needle valve first (like he does in the video). This is cause If the needle valve is already installed, the space between the cold water line and the wall in most houses is not adequate to freely rotate. You have to first install the coupler
Excellent video Chris! You helped me to install the same exact system and made it easy to follow along. Very much appreciated my man!
You're welcome
@@ChrisAsipyan installed mine yesterday now my normal faucet has low pressure any ideas?
Thank you very much for taking the time to record this excellent video guide! I installed our ROES-50 system yesterday using the installation manual and your video side by side. Nothing can compare to actually seeing someone do it. Your video made the whole process so much easier and our system is up and running beautifully!
Awesome! I'm glad my video helped.
Hey Man Thank you!!! I was able to install my new Apec water system yesterday and made it so much easier watching your Video now I don't need to run to store to buy drinking water for my family, hopefully I'll save money down the road... so.. Thank you!! 🍻

You made it so easy!!! Took me almost no time to install. Thank you!!!
You're welcome
I just bought the system.
Great video that makes me confident that I can do this myself!
Thank you!
You're welcome
I installed my system today and did it fast and easy after having watched your video first. Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time and making the effort. I'll raise a glass (of water) to you!
What are your thoughts on this. Since you've had it for a month
@@esotericvv1244 The install was easy and there have been no issues since installing. Our already delicious well water is now super pure (no more calcium from our un-softened web intake) and no concern about the unknown quantities of pesticides, herbicides and other agricultural chemicals that might be present, as our water table is under a large region live of farm area. I definitely recommend this system.
@@sethro221
thanks for the response I plan on picking one up soon now!
Thanks :)
Thanks Chris! Helped a ton!
Added installation notes:
Black drain tube-once in, it doesn’t come out.
Recommend drilling small pilot hole in drain faucet before drilling with the 1/4 drill bit.
Drain pipe is exactly 1/4”, so trim waste from hole and try inserting red pipe first, to be 100% certain hole is big enough.
For drilling the counter top hole, other YT vids were very helpful. FYI, the amazon sold $30 Bosh 1/2” bit was too short (it’s 1 1/16”, and my counter is 1 1/8). Be sure to measure your counter.
If you already have a hole in your sink, the base of the faucet is 1 3/4, so it will fit a smaller existing hole.
Faucet hole position: Make sure there’s enough room on the side to fill a water bottle/cut/whatever you often fill. FYI, the water comes out about 7 1/2” from center of spout (at counter height).
It was said, but I want to highlight, the water spout needs to be in the Off position (lever pointed up) when you connect it to the tank. If not, all the pressure will release and your system will not work.
Also, my tank was pressurized to about 45 psi. I bought a great $35 Cycplus battery-powered high-pressure pump that brought it up to 70 psi (per manual) and the water comes out 50%-75% faster.
It's a fun install. Have a great time!
Everyone should be careful pressurizing the tank any further. As with all pressure vessels, there is a max design pressure (MDP) rating that is specific to that particular vessel. Never go near the MDP as you can have a burst event.
Also, thank you for the excellent notes. Will be installing my system tomorrow.
Nice! ...thank you for all the additional information!
loved this video. very helpful. would’ve been difficult without your help!
Remarkably helpful, thank you. The paper instructions were detailed, but a solid visual aid made this a simple installation. I’ve got clean drinkable water now.
You're welcome!
I’m glad I watched this and read comments before installing. Thank you.
You're welcome
Thank you for this video! Just installed it and it was very easy! Scariest part was the drilling but i didnt even have to do that since there was a previous hole in the pipe! And there was a hole on the counter already too 🎉
👍 nice!
Very good video. Your explanations and instructions were clear and concise and the installation was well done. I installed my unit today. I found that the metal valve body that the 1/2 to 3/8 adapter fits into leaks under water pressure. It took a lot of firm tightening to get it to stop. Worse was when the red tube that feeds water to the unit blew out and water gushed all over. It seems that the fitting on the unit was missing the lock collar and that is why the tube would blow out seconds after turning on water. I ended up removing the fitting and went to a local hardware store and bought a replacement. It seems to be working ok now. I also bought a brass fitting with ferrule in case the plastic fails. That red feed tube fitting was the only one missing a lock collar but it caused me a lot of trouble. Perhaps Apec should include a couple extra fittings in their package so a person doesn't get stuck if one fails. Also a base for the tap that can be adjusted for mounting surfaces that are not flat but sloped. That is another adaptation I had to do on mine. My daughter just installed one several days ago and had leaking issues with the metal fittings that attach to the water supply. She tried reaching Apec Customer Service with no success. She had to run to Home Depot for a washer and O ring to get her leaks stopped. The jury is out on the Apec Roes-50 until I see how it performs for a few weeks.
Thank you.
Just got mine today!! July 9th!! My under sink looks just like yours Chris. Installing it tomorrow!! I’ll let you know how it goes!!!
My R O system is on the way thank you for your it helped me to take the plunge and buy one I was on the fence about it but after your video I jumped on it 😀
👍 nice
Thank you for this video. Helped me all the way through. We had different water spouts but it worked. Didn’t know that we had to the lines in until you heard a click. We learned the hard way when the water was turned back on lol. Thanks again.

Perfect install except for one small plastic tube insert that goes in the end of the tubing at the line in valve. It goes in and supports the tubing for the compression nut. It is small but does come in the 📦 box.
Thanks for the insight.

Great video. You explained it perfectly
Thank you
Thank you so much! I just finished installation a minute ago and waiting on tank to fill up. I did notice however that you put the 1st stage filter in the 3rd attachment. I could be wrong but that’s how it appeared in the video.
no, he did exactly that which is incorrect. if you check the videos from the official APEC, they do it correctly.
Thanks for pointing this out in the comments! Comments like this help us all install the RO system correctly.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. While the instructions included are good, it's even cooler to have a step by step video.

Hi Chris, do we must flush the water system for the first time ? if so, how? thanks
@@brian68467 yes, you should do a flush to remove any carbon and other particles from the new filters. Simply let the water run out the faucet. I recommend running at least 5 gallons out before using the water.
Excellent explanation. Thanks!

I found this video very helpful, thanks for sharing this, I could easily install mine with your guides

Well done, thanks.

Great concise video!

Great video, thank you.

At 3:30 when three filters are being screwed into the system, they are being installed in the wrong order. The white filter which is supposed to be stage 1 is being installed in the stage 3 slot of the system.
Also at 9:30 when you move onto installing the valve setup under the sink, you don't mention the small o-ring that is left over or where it goes relative to the setup until later on when you're installing the system.
You are correct about the order of the filters. SED goes in stage 1 and CAB 's go in 2 and 3.
I don’t understand how more people didn’t catch that. It’s kind of an important step to get wrong
was thinking same thing lol.@@Acidhair
This is the comment I was looking for.

Yup, I realized it and fixed it right after.

The most professional installation, well done and thank you. Subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
Whatever is being it becomes lot easier when one understands how the system works.
I agree
Amazing work and never seen such a detailed video.
Glad you liked it!
Man I tell you your video is so step by step you the best ..
Thank you!
Good install, noticed the filters might be backwards and so was the drain gasket. The gasket should be installed onto the clamp. this is primarily for future problems, i.e. when, as in this case, the garbage disposal is replaced, the same pipe has to be used or another gasket will need to be purchased. The price isn't so much but the down time due to the "oops I forgot that" factor.
Oh I see! The sticker onto clamp
That’s why mine is leaking. The sticker goes on to the dam clamp. I caught the backwards filters. I should’ve just read the directions
DIdnt think of it that way but,,, yes. ! TY
@@verlecox232 the directions I have mount it the way he did
Directions say “then put the self-adhesive black sponge around the hole location”
Good video with everything you need in one video.
Thanks
This was helpful :)
Great install video. however I️ think the black drain hose should NOT be pushed so far into the saddle as the hose that far (1/2in or more) inside the pipe may collect solids going down the drain and could lead to a blockage.
True, thanks for the insight
Thank you, very clear step by step. I did it and you save me $450 for installation for a one hour job by a plumber.
Excellent!
Thank you every much for your show

Thanks a lot for the video mate, really useful. I just bought system from ebay and there got no instruction at all.
Just little note: try to avoid using teflon tape but hemp dispenser instead. 70 percent of the plumbing troubles are in result of using teflon tape 👍
I'll look into the Teflon tape alternative you mentioned. Thanks for the insight
thanks for this video brother..just got the apec 6 stage system im pretty sure the install will be the same
