    I don't like to criticize such an informative video but it could be half as long. When one already understood what you are doing, you could speed up or go to the next step instead of repeating the same thing over and over again. I'm sorry to tell you but these videos are one of those reasons for the 2x. I really do not say it to annoy you but because I like the content. Good luck!

    Something my mom does, is she prepares the meat like she is preparing meatloaf but she makes patties. She browns one side of the patties then flips the burgers adds two cups of water and puts a lid on. She steams the burgers for around 10 minutes. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FLAVOR , one of my favorites and I wouldn't eat this in a bun or put anything on it, it's great with mashed potatoes.

    • @christineveazey3705
      @christineveazey3705 Před 7 měsíci +9

      Sounded fine until you said she added 2 cups water and steamed for 10 min. All the flavor goes out into the water. You don't want that. I don't think this recipe is that great either. Searing seals in juices and flavor. Cooking in water does the opposite. Not to mention adding all the calories by frying liquid bread dough in grease?

    These seem very similar to what we call "chicken fried steak" in America, which are delicious, as these appear to be as well. However, for a simple burger, nothing beats plain ole ground beef shaped into patties and fried or grilled with all the fixings on a hamburger bun (mayonaise, mustard, ketchup, lettuce, onion slices, tomatoes, and pickles - all added by preference).

    The Simple Version is called BUFFA (Danish Recipe) also called Carbonara
    1lb of ground beef & ground pork mix in 2 eggs bit of bread crumbs salt / pepper to taste
    do not over mix gently with your hand chill in fridge 15min meanwhile slice onion (not diced)
    and slice mushrooms Sautee 2-3 Min and make your favorite Brown Gravy (lots)
    form BUFFA into patties 5" dia by 2" thick turn in 3 beaten eggs then fine Bread crumbs fry (not in gravy yet)
    2min each side you want a nice crust now transfer to pan with gravy/onions and mushrooms bring
    it all to a gentle boil for 3min flip turn down heat cover simmer for 20min turning occasionally
    baste with onions and mushrooms on top serve with Boiled Potato / or mashed
    Corn / Brockley, with Mom's homemade buns To soak up all that delicious 🤗Gravy
    (Growing up in the 60"s mom could feed her Family of 5 for about $8 to11 dollars
    there was never any leftovers for the Family Dog🐕But Dusty still had Her Dinner on the
    Floor right beside us

      I love how you put them in boiling water which helped par cook them and at the same time cooking the semolina and making them even more moist. Also, the semolina was a surprise. Can’t wait to try it.

      @@beckystevens3506 Disgusting--why would anyone boil the fat (flavor) out of their burgers. Not for me; enjoy it if you are able.
