- Newcastle United are in pot 4 of the Champions League draw and the extra fixtures could be a problem for Eddie Howe's men. With 6 extra fixture addition to the Premier League matches, there may also be another 3 League Cup games for Newcastle United's squad to contend with too.

I think with are levels of fitness we wont struggle with fatigue as much as other teams would , but with extra games come increased chance of injuries especially to players like Wilson and also bruno ,
I can see why we bought Livramento as trippier will need to be rested to get the best out of him and also develop the player as in a couple of years i see him as possibly being our starting right back,

Yeah I agree I think we'll see plenty of Livramento this season, especially in some of those matches following midweek games.

Given the way our squad train.. i see managing this will be key to actually managing the increase in games .. players often highlight that training is harder than playing game time.. clearly some training will make way for that game time.. Eddie will manage this without doubt
Yes that’s the great thing we literally have the perfect manager for this. It’ll be a challenge for Howe too as it’ll be the first time in his career he’s managed this sort of schedule

Yeah it’s the problem we all wanted to have of course. And tbf, we have the best most balanced squad we’ve ever had in my opinion. Should be exciting times.
In my humble opinion we are going to drop points in the premier league dou to the champions league but this is what we have all dreamed off for Newcastle, I would be happy to clear the group stages and see a big team at st James, but for me we should be concentrating on the top four again as this year it’s looking like a a lot of teams have strengthened, what a great time to be a Newcastle fan!! If the club keep strengthening I can’t see why we can’t be one of the best teams in the world. 🎉
I agree that qualifying again for the CL should be the main aim this season. It would really cement our place at the top end then.

Going by the pre-season rotation i teckon we will be fine, Miley, A Murphy and Anderson will probably be fine in League cup
Yes we have lots of strength in midfield which will be key for certain games
last season we had 3 games in a week so dont think this will be harder tbh
