I explain the differences of the two boards so hopefully you can decide which one is better for you. This is part 1 of 2.

So glad to see a new video of yours after ages. I was getting bored watching all your videos on recap. It makes me feel like I have a board.
The term you're looking for at 5:45 for the bouncy carves is called "decambering". It's very critical in snowboarding to have a deck's stiffness suited to a person's weight so you can easily decamber it (basically flatten it), then pop out of a carve into the next, or into a trick.

In longboarding, that aggressive carving is called pumping. Similar to a pump track or roller blades, youre pushing the board outwards behind you constantly.
It helps with getting to the edge of grip/slip as well as accelerating like a tictac but it's better at maintaining speed around 15kmph.
Carve to slow down, pump to speed up.

I have found the ultimate board that does not have any speed wobbles, because it rides extremely low with a low CG, and has Reverse Kingpin Truck inside of double. They are called Orrsom Boards. They, meaning Trampa also supply to NYC with a rebadged version called "Kaly" - extremely awesome. Most of the world doesn't have brand new roads surfaces like the places in China you're in.

Even with almost no tail, you could choose to kick the board up easily, and then lift it up to push the button. It only took me 5min of practice with the Koowheel. Also a shout to al manufacturers... plz consider designing ambidextrous remote controllers. Thanks in advance.

I did a video where I was a little disappointed With the Wowgo 3. I felt like it was too flexy however I rode the board for an extended time while doing a Halloween esk8 video and I have had a change of heart. It is a really good board. I was going back and forth but I went with the Exway Riot. It is on the way. I am so excited. What “all terrain” wheels can one put in the Exway? I have seen some people put those type of wheels on this board. I know it’s more for just eating up bad road but I do not know what to call them.
Not sure about the choice of grip tape on the X1 pro but each to their own. Are you planning on reviewing Backfire G3? P.s. Thank you for sharing your videos. They always chill me out after a tough day!

Could you try to get your hands on the Backfire G3 Plus
Been talking to Wowgo. The deck handle slot is a huge buying factor for me as it's way more ergonomic. They got rid of it but I asked if they could offer it on demand. First they said yes, then no, now they're saying check back on Tuesday lol.
I can't believe they got rid of it. Carrying a long board or even a short board is super awkward without that handle. You can carry it from the trucks but then you're dragging the bottom and have to lift up in an awkward manner and the grip tape is dirting and scuffing your pants and and the trucks are potentially dirty too. Or you can carry by the deck but then your hands are getting roughed up by the grip tape and you're resting the potentially dirty deck against your clothes. That handle slot is extremely important, it becomes ergonomic to carry a board and a lot of us use it as a commuter so it needs to be ergonomic and practical. Wowgo bring back the handle slot I legimately can't buy your boards any longer without it.

I think im gonna get the Wowgo3x, mainly because its cheaper.
Personally I think that's where most people go wrong... Aside from having a flexi deck the wow go doesn't drive as fast or charge as fast or have a upgradeable ESC not to mention more wheel changing options. You pay a couple hundred dollars more for a better board.
Another 100 or so isn’t much for quite a few features that improve overall enjoyment, IMHO

Is there any way to help protect the belts from damage? Or is it even needed?
Actually the exway board does turn on when turning on the remote even if standby is deactivated. I tried it on my x1 pro and I don't get what standby is doing. There is literally no difference between it on or off.

I have an Exway with hubs and love it. Considered buying the 3X rather than the riot kit or a 2nd hand Boosted, but I'd want to test it with Slick Revolution foamies etc and it's not clear how easy that would be.
Why not get an AT board if you need wheels that big? You’d probably need to remove the belt covers for them to fit and add risers to prevent wheelbite.
@@DanielKwan Actually ordered the new ownboard AT already. Don't think I can change the wheels on that either.

when you said wowgo3x deck is bouncy and not suitable for high-speed rather than exway stiff deck, i have different opinions, i own 2 boards, first one is with stiff deck and the 2nd one with bouncy deck, at 1st switched from stiff deck to bouncy, i have same opinion like you, the bouncy deck is not made for high-speed. but now as i already getting used with the bouncy deck, I don't have any problem with high-speed
so in my opinion, those two boards are have different characteristics, and different handling style, no matter you ride slow / high-speed, the more you invest time with your board, the more you'll get used with it, and you'll have no problem riding high-speed
How long does it take to receive the wowgo 3x
Backfire does have a "beta" version of their app, but after month, they seems to just not release their app for some reason.
(You know they are making an app right?)
I know but I don’t know anything about its progress. I do know that building a good app is much more difficult than most people think, and a bad app can be worse than having no app.
Hey Daniel I'm just about to spend money on my first long board. I was thinking wowgoX3 but not the riot look great also do you think the riot is worth the extra £125 more than the wowgoX3 ?? Whats the after service like for the xway ?

Where would you buy extra belts in case they rip? I’m leaning toward wowgo and went on their website but they don’t have belts for sale. Do you know where we can go to buy spares?

Instead of pulling from the back wheels why not just pull it with the front wheels since those wont lock up ^^ ? Also with the new anniversary deal the wowgo3x is only 549$, do you recommend this over their newer model the wowgo 2s pro ? This will be my first electric board, thanks a lot !!
There’s more weight at the back so pulling the front is easier, like pulling luggage.
Personally I think I would prefer the 2S Pro.

Combo option includes both the belt drive system and hub motor system. They are interchangeable on this board, but I think very few people would need both.

@@lansingphillips1208 no, I love the hub motors on my exway, super quite and easier to carry around, the riot give it more torque but with the hub motors is the faster board out there, so no need riot for me

Is it that hard to drag the board from the opposite side so the fronts are rolling on the ground? Seriously considering the 3x as it's less than half the price of the boosted stealth, main concern is customer service should I need access to the warranty

I would never choose the Wow Go. I like my boards stealthy. No bulky battery covers. With the EXWAY X1, you have no idea it's electric.

Hope this corona thing slows down so i can order my wowgo from China. Arrrgh🤣
Most people are too tall to drag the board like that behind them, comfortable as it looks it's a none issue for a lot of people so not a factor. We have to schlep our boards if getting the subway etc. I went for the Exway Flex as my backup and the wheel flares kill it for me. Stance has to be so close together because of those damn wheel flares. Concave is borderline too much too but it's the wheel flares make it a nogo for size 12 shoes. Hope Exway improve their decks with Atlas. I'm used to my GTR and wanted something with street wheels and something to ride while mine was being repaired so something else to note, Exway shipping is a joke. They definitely don't ship when they say they do, not totally fourth coming which is weird, thought that was just the government but nope Exway too. So just be prepared for a 1 to 3 month wait and make sure those wheel flares are ok for you before impulse buying like me
