- There are so many amazing places to eat in Panama City, but some of the best and the most unique places to eat in Panama City, are found in Casco Viejo!
We've been to Panama City a couple times during our time in Panama and we have managed to visit the historic center of Casco Viejo each time. While there, we've been able to try a wide variety of colorful, bright, fun, relaxing, and overall unique restaurants, bars, and rooftop patios in the entire city.
In this video, we give a list of some of the best restaurants and bars we've been to, tell all about our experiences there, and offer our overall opinions on each one.

Great video of an awesome area of Panama City. One of my favourites in Casco Viejo was Pedro Mandinga’s Rum Bar. Small bar that features their own brand of rum. Great atmosphere!

Oh that’s awesome! We had a great time in Panama, and Casco Viejo is definitely a must see while there! If you’re in the city area for a while, we’d also suggest taking the ferry out to Taboga Island, another place we did a video on, definitely check that one out as well as it’s an easy and affordable day trip out to a beautiful island! Amazing time for the whole family! 🙌
You should check out Lazotea rooftop restaurant & bar with a pool where I had lunch !!!
Ah we had seen some reviews and heard some good things about there! We are unfortunately no longer there though, so just one more reason to come back!

How about the other cites to the west if you follow the main road?
Not sure which cities you’re referring to. We spent time in Coronado and Anton Valley, which are both west of Panama City. Not as familiar with cities outside of that though. We made a quick stop in David on our way to Costa Rica. Just jumped on the main bus system for that. If you watch our video travelling from Panama to Costa Rica, we break that trip down a bit more 🙂
You must visit Buena Vista Taphouse in Balboa Boutique, the best craft beer bar in the city

Where in casco veijo is nascon sushi located
No one ever talks about places to eat in other areas like El Cangrejo or Avenida Balboa, etc.
Hi there. We actually did base our plans on Casco, simply because of how high everything was rated there and how much we had heard that's the place to be. To be honest, this is the first we'd heard of either El Cangrejo or Avendia Balboa, but we really appreciate the suggestions! Next time we're in the city, we'll have to go take a look for sure!
