I’m a middle school art teacher and use this style of journal for my student’s daily warm-up. They use an index card to do their warm-up. Then at the end of the semester they glue them into their book that they make. They love seeing all their little drawings.
I use rubber bands all the time for my flow journals, because they're mine and it's easy and fun! Making journals need not be a headache inducing process! 😌☕💕
Flow journals is what I was thinking of when I was shoving that torn paper in there but words are hard and I’m blonde hahahaha! Flow journals are so fun to swap!
You can also punch 2 holes in the book, stick the elastic through each hole and put a stick or something else through the loops of the elastic. I made my mama a cookbook and used a spoon as the holder.

I didn’t have any nice rubber bands… so I used my gun stapler thru the cover and pages which allowed me to put the staple in the centre where I needed it… then used my bone folder to bend the prongs in so it was closed like a normal staple…. A good way to staple through bulk since it has the strength of a “gun” and if your normal stapler is not strong… or long enough to hit the centre from the edge 🤗🤗🤗

I'm making a bunch of small and medium sized ones as I'm watching this again. Something hit me about one of the uses that is possible. I've been seeing some hard core calendar users take their washi tape and making a bit of a catalog with them all. They rip off a piece and put it down on the page, follow with another one below it, etc. So you have a catalog of exactly what you have and can pull off the washi from the book when it's gone and either replace it or use that last piece. Just a thought. I'm gonna be making a toof both sizes for many things! Brilliant, Nicole! Absolutely brilliant!

I use the packages that my Amazon stuff comes in. I love them I cut bottom off and have pocket in both sides and it's sturdy. And I use hair bands for rubber band. Cause the Amazon bags are bigger.
Nicole get an inexpensive baby stroller and "walk" Sherman in it. He gets to go too and doesn't tire out as bad.

I lost my sister and a dear friend within a few weeks of each other last December, and now my husband is looking at a bone cancer diagnosis. I may be dumb...but how do you give as a gift? I mean is it for someone who loves to collage and then they have papers to tear up? I would love ot make for little gifts but for people who do not do crafting...so I am stuck how ot give as a gift.
