    Not sure if you are aware of the true side effects of this drug or not...the few you mentioned don’t even scratch the surface. The CDC put a black box warning on this drug earlier. The benefits do NOT always outweigh the risk.

    • @egpat
      @egpat  Před 3 lety +5

      Definitely many drugs will have a great list of side effect and black box warnings but many of them are either warnings and precautions or idiopathic effects. Warnings are are different from side effects where the later are observed common in most of the population. Here in this video I focused mainly on its mechanism and pharmacology. But as you said, while a drug is prescribed it should be checked that whether benefits overweigh the risk or not. Thanks for your interest and watching this video.

      I had suffered from common colds and cough for 3 weeks and decided to consult a doctor because the OTC medicines I bought didn't treat my respiratory illness. The doctor prescribed montelukast and azithromycin (antibiotic) for me. I got rid of my cold and cough within 5 days after taking my medicine. I do have OCD symptoms (not clinically diagnosed) but the prescribed medicines didn't aggravate my mental health condition.

      If you search any drug on internet you will see many side effects but it doesn't mean it will happen to you. So listen your doctor otherwise you have to take many other drugs or you will die
