Dear Armando, I can barely comprehend the hard work that may have gone in making a video like this -the graphics, accuracy of information, and the delivery of the presentation is immaculate. Your free videos have massively contributed to my knowledge base of basic sciences. Thank you. If I get somewhere in life, I will make a contribution to this channel.
YOU ARE SERIOUSLY SOOOO GOOD. You've helped me throughout high school and now I'm in dental school in my second year and you still continue to help me! Amazing videos and great work! So much appreciation. Thanks a ton!
I love your videos. You make things sooo simple! We all appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us. You are helpful to many people and we all sincerely appreciate it!
Dear Future prof, Armando Hasudungan Thank you for your kindness to show us your treasure. your "YOU TUBE" is beautiful. Your aesthetic feeling is huge like a ocean. I am so moved. Your attitude is scrub yourself, which is like "scrub a bathtub" thank you for your brightness. I always enjoy sun bath from U. from JAPAN
Great video Armondo! One small error though. You are correct in saying that Prostaglandins and Thromboxanes are produced via the COX enzyme; however, Leukotrienes are produced via the Lipoxygenase enzyme not COX.
Very lucid. Many of these recent pharm findings were not around when I attended health school 30 years ago. Keep making educational videos and may be ask for voluntary contributions in the future. Could even put on DVD for sale. A support remedial tutoring.
There are several factors in treating asthma naturally. One plan I found which succeeds in merging these is the Laken Chest Remedy (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the most useful resource i've heard of. Check out all the extraordinary information .
This was great, thanks, I have been researching "thyroid cure ayurvedic" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Yannabarn Vanish Thyroid - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my m8 got amazing results with it.
@@favourirobe5698 lmao you could have just said hey guys im trynna sell some bullshit. if you may be interested in wasting your money look up this bullshit. you could also have just said wtf that remedy is rather than refer to google and then to a source. lmao and the dude michiko mendola is either another account by you or another moron you asked to help you. He, as well, recommended googling it lmaooo. yall funny thumbing up ur own comments too bahahaha
Hi Grate Video, I did not understand it all but gone enough to know why i am having so many problems with prednisolone( taking prednisolone for 7 years)
wow your videos are really good!!! look the way you draw things, is perfect, and you explain very well, keep going with the good job, you actually made a better video than khan academy
Actually at 8:46, gluccorticoids don't actually directly promote osteoclast production. They do however inhibit osteoblasts like he mentioned, but in contrast to the increase in osteoblast apoptosis, the lifespan of osteoclasts is prolonged. Therefore, with longterm therapy, osteoclast numbers are usually maintained in the normal range while osteoblast and bone formation plummets. (Weinstein, Robert S. "Glucocorticoid-Induced Osteoporosis and Osteonecrosis.")
Thank you for this clear overview. PS: I have always found the term "nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug" (NSAID) hard to come around, because it partly refer to a negative. It appear to me now - and please, anybody, correct me if I am wrong - that this reference in NSAID is the glucocorticoids, they are the ones that are both steroidal and anti-inflammatory.
No NSAIDS and Glucocorticoids are different Nsaids are non steroidal as the name suggests unlike Glucocorticoids Nsaids inhibits cox enzymes whereas Glucocorticoids inhibit Phospholipase A2 via lipocortin so both COX and LOX Enzymes are inhibited
Thank you for this video. I was just prescribed Prednisol for 10 days and this makes me feel better about side effects. There will be side effects, but the osteoporosis is for long term usage.
Excellent video! I was surprised when you indicated that glucocorticoids are used to treat pain. I take prednisone when my asthma flairs out-of-control. This is unrelated to pain.
Glucocoritcoids help with inflammation, which can cause pain. I take prednisone occasionally for costochondritis - a huge, mind numbing, life changing pain when it flares up. But a good friend of mine took prednisone regularly for a breathing issue she was having. And if you research other breathing treatments, you will find that some of them are glucocorticoids.
You seem very smart about this subject, Armando. How do glucocorticoids affect emotions and eyesight, especially during prednisone tapering? Any insights into those processes? Thanks for this video!

But.. how.. how... HOW CAN YOU DRAW THAT WELL!?!?! You are AWESOME! THank you!
Wow! 8 years old and still quite relevant. After watching enough of your videos, I'm happy to support you via Patreon. Keep up the good work!
One minor mistake: leukotrienes is not made by COX, rather by 5-lipoxygenase.
Gotta confuse the med school students right babe?
Hey Dudes from the Brony Cringe Video lol Rich Panini is everywhere now
Another minor mistake: "glucocorticoids" is NOT spelled "glucocoticoids" (without the "r")!
@@heydudesfromthebronycringe8422 so to avoid confusing them, let's teach them factually wrong science?
Yes
I'm from Brazil, more specifically from the state of Pará, your work is very productive. Congratulations.

Right. However, LT (Leukotrienes) will decrease because of inhibition of arachidonic acid
@@bhumiyadavbhu4889 Hmm, but won't that contrast with the load bearing gas powered defibrillator research done in Norse japan?
