Thanks for showing the correct method. You saved my £90.
Thanks again
Thank you too for the feedback!
Thanks very much! A couple of suggestions to make it even easier. 1. Open the fob at the bottom with a coin not the other key. 2. Push the pin back in with a pair of pliers not a hammer.
Sowar Thank you too!
Thankyou, thankyou, and thankyou. Cheapest I could get in UK was £158.00. Bought casing online for £10.00. So grateful. Fixed just as you described. Worrying now Russia attacking Ukraine

Many thanks, this was brilliant, very clear. Didn't know how to remove the blade. To open the case I used the end of a teaspoon (with a square end) or a screwdriver of the right size. Used long nosed pliers to hold the pin while locating it. Tapped in with small hammer. Hint make sure you are on a clear table with a clean floor. Dropping the pin almost inevitable.
Thank you for your feedback!
In a few words...YOU ARE A GENIUS.
Thank you, Felix!

Excellent
thanks a lot!👍
instead of a nail I used a thin screwdriver and hammered it trhough with the backside of a bigger screwdriver😂
and I used a set of pliers to keep the pin in check when re-instering it..again hammering it with the bigger screwdriver.
Thank you too for your feedback!

Gracias!
This wasn't too hard, I did it with a 10 year old key and pulling the blade away after removing the pin was the hardest bit. Years of damp and grime made it quite hard too pull, I made a lever out of a ring spanner and a rod through the other end and eased it out levering back and forth in 2 directions.
I happened to have a cheap watchmakers tool for removing links lying around following a previous DIY job. It worked a treat as a rod for hammering through the pins. Thank you
Thank you for your feedback!

Hello, could you share where you have purchased the sticky badge for the back of the key case?
Thanks
Hello! The sticky badge is coming in the package with the key case.
Please help: in the new key there's no pin holding the blade but a kind of hole, maybe a small ring, I could remove the pin from the old key with a nail and hammer but not the blade from the new one.
Be great if the getting the pin out wasn't edited and we could see in real time. A better procedure might be to move the mother board and battery over to the new key and then bring both keys to the locksmith and ask him to cut the new key. This way the pin stays from the factory.
No rfid chip issues? Everything is in the big chip?
Hi, I've got one of these. Do they have batterys that need changing ?
Yes
Yes. CR1620 button cells.
The holes on the blades don't quite line up on my old and new key.
Thanks i have winished in 5 minutes
darko milosevic Thank you for watching!
The keys are not all like that ! 😂
New ones don't have the pin. Replace whole key blank with complete old key
Thank you for the info!
where i can buy thet logo
eBay
Did it come with the new mother board mate?
Did you mean circuit board? No.
Switched it, was a hassle to put the pin back in, the pin was a little to big. But now my car wont open or close with the remote. I really have no clue, when I put it all back in it also doenst work with the old one all of a sudden. Really no clue what to do now.
Hi! It is a problem with these new aftermarket Peugeot key fob cases. So, after you installed all the parts from the old key fob, you have to bend that small plate that has direct contact with battery to make it work. When you install those two parts from the key fob back, that small plate near the battery is not making contact with the battery.
Or you have to synchronise the key.
The hardest part is the hollow pin
I don't believe the pin is supposed to be removed. Otherwise the replacement key wouldn't come from the factory with pin inserted. Procedure is supposed to be: buy new blank key. Open both keys using a coin. Move motherboard from old key to new key (that's why it's not glued in). Close both keys. Bring keys to locksmith and have locksmith key the new key in the shape of old key.
I just could not get the pin back in... Its v tight fitting without it.. It will probably do
What's that u used to open the case ?
Hi! I've used the the blade from the other key.
@@Servicetutorials Aww okay wish me luck n thanks for replying back to my comment n uploading dis video
You made knocking the pin out look easy. I tried it repeatedly and ended up bending the nails. :(
Yep, did make it look a lot easier than it really is!

My car key have a chip problem only could be solved with new one they want 180 euros I don't want to give 180 euros it's too much. I wanna learn how I do it
My pin wouldn't go back in so i put a small nail in it and used a cut off wheel to shorten it then sanded it flat.
Thank you for your feedback!
Not easy trying to put the pin back in with sausage fingers 😄
Great video ....my problem is I changed the fob on my Peugeot 206 key and now the key won't start my car...Thought it was the car's battery because that's what it sounded like however even after jump starting..it still wouldn't work...them I tried my spare "non fob key" and my car started first time...any advice would be greatly appreciated as to what I did wrong...
I Now know what I did wrong...I didn't transfer the transponder from the old case to the new one 😠
Did you solve it ? how did it go?
@@FamilyGuySweden...Hi yes it was the transponder...i had forgotten to transfer it over from the original key fob...works perfectly well now thank you....
*Fuyez les concessionnaires !!! Ça se fait tout seul, le remplacement n'est pas bien compliqué !!!*
I'm not sure what this achieves exactly apart from getting a new piece of black plastic ??
The case buttons break down over time, once that happens the key gets unreliable. Also the battery needs replacing periodically.
In local keycutter they asked me 190$ for key fob replacement
Wow!
@@Servicetutorials Yep, managed to change it on my own, it only cost 10 EUR. Ordered one from amazon.
@@PIXIEVIDEOS Thank you for your feedback!
Bit too fast for me to keep up and there music is really distracting.
Thank you for the feedback! For the next videos we gave up the music.
Please tell me how the hell you get the little pin back in again ??!!
hahahhahahahhaha
Really, why didn't you just change the button portion of the key fob, swapping the electronics over too.
The cheap replaceable key fob button cover doesn’t fit the original Peugeot key back, mate. They just don’t click-lock together for some reason. It was the first thing I tried doing to save on having to do this.
Hahahha Minute 4:57 :-D easy ? :-D Hahhahahahah
Great now key doesn't recognise the remote fob press
Fob gets deactivated every time you replace battery, consult your car manual to reactivate fob (I am 100% sure that my car's manual has reactivation procedure explained in it)
@@RM97800 yeah it does but that doesn't work either.
@@61barrackroad Then I don't have any idea. I'm in a process of replacing fob right now (I have some trouble putting the pin back into a key and I left it for tomorrow [I have spare key set, so I don't need to rush it]). I hope I won't encounter any nasty issue once I'm done.
@@RM97800 might be the fob then thanks anyway
New ones don't have the pin. Replace whole key blank with complete old key
