    I think it is good to be open to the possibility that you don't want to start a fashion brand - maybe you just want to discover and promote other great fashion brands, maybe you jsut want to be a designer for an already established and funded brand. There are ways to be creative without having to do the whole thing.

    My 9 yr daughter loves fashion. She transforms clothes that she already has into other outfits. We have a name and want to target her age group moving on into the teenage years. I don't have a clue on how to get started but I want her to follow her passion and dreams. I didn't have such vision at 9 years of age and I am so excited for her. She is a brilliant child.

      Create the purpose first. Your Mission, Slogan, Brand Colors, even monogram design if you wanna go there with it. From what it sounds like, the clothes are the easy part in your case. But for pre-teens going into teens, tees and lil branded items are a great start

    Your perspectives and awareness are so pure. I can tell your passion and authenticity. Thank you. I’m coming from the music industry and recognize the transferable skills and perspectives you have! I would love to see you deconstruct the fashion of Big Music artist and merge both worlds

      Well that has me excited for the The Casual 2023! Personally, I'd love to hear more about how to best 'do' marketing for a single-owner brand. I burned myself on Google Ads in early 2022, mostly because I didn't know what I was doing. Recently I've been trying again with Meta Ads and it's kinda working out ok! And a lot easier than building a persona brand. So I'd love to hear your thoughts on all that.

    Great video and exciting agenda for the year. I would like to know more about textile manufacturing and how to source them ? I see some ig accounts covering this topic solely, but I’d like to see your point of view being in Japan

    That's true! For example, Joey Bizinger, a famous CZcamsr in Japan, started his own streetwear brand "Nonsense" in 2022. Before him, Ken Ijima, a Korean guy, is making fortune with his own brand "Vuja De", and even made a collab with United Arrows. Yes, guys, it's possible! If you do it right, you can be big in Japan!

I do like to make 2do lists though, I got binders of ideas an sketches, an racks of blanks, an sergers an vinyl an dye sub an woven labels.... I need to do something after my nap.

    3minutes in and he still hasn't started to explain a step by step.

    • @THECASUALco
      @THECASUALco  Před 10 měsíci

      Patience is a virtue my friend. There is something to learn in each of those 3 minutes. There is no fast track to success. And most people don’t understand WHY they need to take those steps. If I do t explain the why you’ll never do the WHAT correctly. This is the product of a continuously impatient society…
      Now that you’ve read that
      1. Build a list
      2. Get some references
      3. Make a story
      Now you can do all that without context.

    I don’t think it’s coincidental that most of your examples are men. I find myself very reluctant to share with men in this industry what I do because, if they’re successful enough, they almost always promise me mentorship with the ulterior motive of sleeping with me. I’ve had to make many calls where I sacrificed what would have been a powerful connection for my safety.
    It’s of course not your fault. I guess I’m just ranting because this is a huge obstacle that goes largely unreported and unacknowledged and it can be extremely frustrating and demoralising.
    Just some food for thought. I know your audience is probably mostly male and so are you so these are simply things you don’t have to deal with.
