      Thank you! About an hour and 15 minutes with longer grass according to my tests.

    I bag my front lawn, but remove the bag and insert a plastic piece to mulch the back. Would I need to change the blades to accomplish the same thing? If so, that is a definite deal breaker.

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  Před 8 měsíci +1

      You can definitely bag with the mulching blade on. It will just be a little more effective and efficient. with the high lift blade on. I personally never really take my mulching blade off!

    So how much time do you get on the battery using the mulching blade?

      I do a full time test with the mulching blade on their new mower in this video: czcams.com/video/09Km-CVs0E0/video.html&lc=UgyfGTVbYE61TqGzHRF4AaABAg

    You ever just had the one blade on there and then done a comparison with the dual blade system?

      No, I have never tried that.

    I mulch part of my lawn and bag a small part close to the pool. With most mowers, I just attach the bag. But on this mower, I have to stop and change blades every time I want to mulch then again to bag???

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  Před 22 hodinami +1

      You do not have to change the blades. In your situation, I would just stick with the mulching blade and throw the bag on there. It will just mulch the clippings up before throwing them in the bag. Nothing hurt. The high lift blade may be slightly more effective if you want to bag for an extended period of time. I don't switch blades every time I switch cutting modes.

    Mowing weeds doesn't really show how well it works. How does it work on grass lawns?

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  Před měsícem

      Yeah. It was late in the year. I don't maintain the bottom of my backyard hill much. There's a lot more cutting of better grass in my full review video: czcams.com/video/b-4OSIXnGrQ/video.html

      Yep...I use the High Lift blade with the mulch plug. It definitely uses more battery life but I find the cut far superior to the other blades after trying all three.

    I have the top model of the self propelled mower, and the only issue I have with it is it's inability to cut St Augustine grass properly. By that, I mean that there are always many blades that don't get cut at all and I have to go back over the area to get them. I use the mulching blade, as that is what you're supposed to use with St Augustine, and it just doesn't have the suction, or lift, required to do a really thorough job. I've tried using the bagging blade because it's supposed to have much more lift, but it just doesn't, at least not with St Augustine. I'm happy overall with the mower, but that is an issue I wish didn't exist.
    Also, not to be a jerk, but this video would have been much better if you had a nicer lawn. It's really hard to tell what's been cut because it's half dirt and half weeds.

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  Před 26 dny +1

      Yeah, I filmed it later in the year on the bottom of my hill when it was kind of baked out. Here's an example of me cutting the front yard with the new aluminum EGO, where I actually take care of my grass: czcams.com/users/shorts6rmm0g8KRd0

    Weird you'd even use a mower on that patch of weeds, dirt, and random bits of grass to begin with, honestly. Was this a camp for the homeless or something?
