I’ve found that Bioderma do a moisturiser with an anti-fungal in it for seb dem. It’s called Sensibio DS+ soothing purifying cream. I’ve also found azelaic acid to be highly effective at keeping it under control.
If you moisturise your skin and after sometime your skin is nomore dry or flaky it mean’s you only had dryness cause when a person have seb dermatitis and it is flaring no moisture can calm your skin down ( i have it that’s why i know this)
As someone with seb dermatitis, I'm here to warn that you eventually form a tolerance to Nizoral. I highly suggest you try the moisturizer and treatment lotion by Malezia, which was specially made for people with seb dermatitis. Did way more for me without messing up my moisture barrier.
@rowwiddit7096 face wash first then you put the moisturizer on (pink tube) wait for it to dry completely, then apply the treatment cream (black tube). Everytime I have an outbreak of seb derm that's what I do and 3 days later it's completely cleared up!
My derm gave me same advice (other shampoo, but similar enough). I didn't feel comfortable to leave shampoo on my face and I asked the pharmacist if I even understood my derm correctly. And lucky for me she had same problem as me and she gave me Avene thermal water instead, to spray it on and fix it with LRP Cicaplast Baume B5+. She said to try this first, because it's less strong (?) and locks the moisture in, and to buy the shampoo if this doesn't work. And I'm very lucky that it did work (or maybe it's just because of spring, idk really). :)
The leaflet (or whatever it's called) says a few months only, but I was using it for a few years with a green light from two derms (the only thing they asked me was to use as thin layer as possible and stop for the pregnancy time). After years of using thousands of different prescription creams, Duac was the one that finally helped me.
@@mortigan omg same, duac is amazing, and after a long time of research, mostly asking famous derms online, most said its fine. ive used it for a year and then switched to just benzoyl peroxide and the results aren't the same. are you still using it ?
@@emilyparker313 I used benzoyl peroxide and I really hated it - it didn't help at all and made my skin flaky. That's surprising how I could use bp or clindamycin gel alone and they didn't make much difference, but the combinaton of these two worked miracles! I don't use Duac anymore because my skin (after all the hormonal changes related to pregnancies, I guess) came to a condition that is acceptable for me (even though still not perfect), but if my skin gets worse, I will definitely ask for Duac prescription. Is it OTC in your area?
I usually used very "simple" moisturizer like Cetaphil MD or nothing at all. I didn't care much at that time 😅 But Duac wasn't making me too flaky either. Keeping fingers crossed for your skin journey! 🙂 I was using Duac (daily, in the evening) for 3 or 4 years, by the way.
After 3 months of applying moisturizers and sunscreen and having a well informed skincare routine i started to notice this flakyness, even the days after applying cicaplast baume. How come?

U just apply it and that’s it? Or you apply and wash off or wash face than apply the moisturizer

You use the baume after wards?
@@rowwiddit7096 Yes, thermal water first and baume over it. I didn't need to buy and put on the shampoo. Good luck to you too!
@kvacka did u apply the baume b5 to damp or dry skin?
@@janamae88 Avene thermal water makes my skin damp and I put Baume B5 on top right away.
