not sure if you've watched it but that reminds me of in blue lock the main character is getting beat because the other guy is reading all of his moves and is constantly a step ahead, and his solution to this is to just think a step ahead of the other guy... and it takes him a couple minutes to come up with that... and it works because he just got smarter i guess lol

Deku actually made perfect sense. He was using the Float quirk to make himself completely weightless, and using the blackwhip via his tongue to propel his weightless form forwards using momentum. Shattered limbs won't affect that, except maybe excruciating pain but we all know that's irrelevant

I love it when you can see a character get bent in half or have their entire face caved in by a punch, but in the next scene/panel they just have a few scratches and maybe spit up some blood
