Just got married, planned it in 3 weeks, spent less than 2k, and turned out beautifully. Use your resources, it saves you a ton of money!!! Cut your guest list. Be creative about what you do. Renting table cloths would have cost me $18 a table. I ended up purchasing it off amazon for the same price, and now I can sell it.
I ended up purchasing a prom dress that had a bridal feel, and saved me so much money. One thing, if you are a relaxed person, being flexible on so many things will help you save so much money in the end.
I just got engaged and I don't really know where to start I never really look into wedding planning so now I'm kinda in a panic mode we want to get married in about a year, this help a lot to start

Maybe you could talk about the planning process while living in a different state than your family? We will be in that situation for our wedding so I would love to hear how you made it work!
Budget first! Totally agree. Will help dictate everything from there and really narrow down your vendors, guest count, etc once that is determined. Crazy how it all adds up!

I’m so happy your views are going up! And I love how honest and open you always are in literally every video! Keep practicing that integrity! Also, I am getting married in August and it’s been an 8 month engagement so I don’t care what COVID has to say about it lol. We are doing a one year vow renewal next August with guests and ceremony and reception, etc almost like a re-do! So these older videos are so helpful!!! Because now I get another year to plan a big event!

We haven’t got a budget, just going as cheap as possible, thankfully my parents are paying for our venue and food (we are having a tipi at home)
It worries me that everyone might not come to the wedding, I want them all there!!
Thankfully the tipi comes with tables chairs a fire pit and a dance floor and it has pretty lighting too!

Can you do a video about what to do if it rains?? I remember seeing that it rained for a little bit on your day. Did you have a backup plan? I LOVE keeping things outdoors, and I'm terrified of a cold rainy day forcing us inside.
Also, can you talk more about timing the day of? There are so many different times to do the ceremony, reception, etc. Any tips?

75%? My daughter's wedding had more like 95% of the invitees attend. I think it's scary to book based on 75% and then have more decide to come, and your venue is too small! Yikes!

Hi! Dealing with ceremonies...I’m a singer, and I sing for a lot of wedding ceremonies on weekends to make some extra money. If you’re planning to have a semi professional/professional ensemble, whether it’s a small chamber choir or a string quartet, please book us in advance as well and make sure you know which pieces you would like us to perform so that we have time to learn the repertoire you want. also please make sure that you save enough money in your budget to pay us decently. Generally no more than 200$ a musician, and that’s a lot for a wedding. You might be able to get away with paying somewhere along the lines of 50-75$. A lot of the people you hire for weddings are college kids (myself included) and trying to make money and if you don’t pay decently people won’t be interested.
