It's so beautiful. The quality of the light in the North is so much different. I love the looming mountain in the background.

Hi Steve. I noticed you drive around Dawson often. Is there anything I could bring from Ottawa the locals would appreciate?

Hello, winter in Dawson City is over and spring is starting. I've been here for almost 7 months now. at the coldest it was -50°, but not for long, about a week. For a long time it was -45°, normal weather. Everyone works, children study, cars drive. We even went to Whitehorse in the cold 😮😮😮👍👍🖐🖐🖐@@MW-nOttawa

As beautiful of a city Whitehorse, Yukon is, when it comes to snow, it's hell on Earth, it starts right after Halloween in November and accumulates right up until the end of April, it just doesn't stop snowing and it just doesn't melt untill May. You may spend hours shoveling the stuff, only to have to do it again hours later. If you love snow removal and snow related winter activities, then Whitehorse is for you. However, if you hate shoveling the stuff, I highly recommend you don't move to Whitehorse as the city has received record snowfall within the last 5 years due to climate change.
